Happy Thanksgiving and a random meme...
First, Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! Hope you enjoyed a warm and reflective time with your friends and or family today.

Now, a random meme I stole from witchofthedogs:

Things you may not have known about me....

a) Four jobs I have had in my life:
- Yard slave for my Dad
- Door-to-door canvasser for grass-roots political org (4 painful months)
- Radio announcer
- Software engineer

b) Four movies I could/would watch over and over:
- To Kill A Mockingbird
- Beetlejuice
- Sense And Sensibility
- Say Anything

c) Three places I have lived:
- Portland, Oregon
- Peoria, Illinois
- Sacramento, California

d) Five TV shows I love to watch:
- Supernatural (duh)
- Prison Break (double-duh)
- House, M.D.
- Law & Order (mainly SUV now)
- Bones
- *cough* The list of shows I loved that are now deeeeaaaad is endless. :0

e) Eight places I have been on vacation:
- Morocco
- Italy
- Spain
- France
- Wales
- Scotland
- England
- Mexico

f) One web site I visit daily
www.livejournal.com

g) Three of my favourite foods:
- Chocolate
- Ice cream (which is _never_ in the house, because I have Achilles' Heel-like issues with it)
- Nachos with all the stuff

h) One place I would rather be right now:
- Portland, all things being equal

RETURN DIRECTIONS:
Now, here's what to do... and please don't spoil the fun.
Copy and paste, delete my answers and type in your answers. Then re-post it!!! The theory is that you will learn a lot of little known facts about those who know you.

Oh, you're actually living in Sac right now? When did you move to the States?

Wow if you are, we're really close together @_@;; RL meets fandom... craziness. If you are from Sac I'll have to bother you about good places to eat in my next comment, hahaha.

It's confusion all around! I've always lived in the States, but I assumed that you were from a British-speaking country because your username is "aeroport_art", and Americans say "airport." But it didn't occur to me that there are lots of places that speak British English.

I've been in Sacramento 19 years now :0 I made it back to the West Coast from Illinois, but I met my husband here and never made it back to Oregon the way I had hoped.

My good eateries have come and gone over time. Now they're things like "On the Border," which I think is a chain (we go to the South Natomas one). The marinades on their meats are to die for, but you should order unsalted chips because the food is so salty that 4 hours later you'll be trying to chuck 1/2 gallon of liquid. Seriously. :0

I used to order "Evil Jungle" at Chinois' East/West, and they have another related restaurant now at Fair Oaks Blvd. But sometimes they make it the wrong way, i.e., they make yellow curry instead of sweet, red curry. Have to insist on the other version. ;)

Where are you originally from, Li?

Wow, this meme certainly did it's job!

For "aeroport" I was actually referring to the French spelling of the word :D I took French for ages, I think it's a beautiful sounding language and thus appropriated it for my own dorky reasons. Hee.

I was born in Alabama but grew up in Saratoga, though I'm living in Cupertino now. Ever hung around the South Bay? I've been at Davis for a few years now, I've never head of the places you mentioned :O I guess I haven't been doing enough Sacramento scouting, lol. All I know is that I really like La Boheme Trattoria... yum, Czech food.

Btw if you ever get the chance, you *must* go to Cafe Flood on 16th and P, across from Starbucks. It is hands down the best espresso I have ever had, and I *love* espresso drinks so I've been around the block (lol). Unfortunately with all the competition the place hasn't been doing well so they reduced their hours to just 6AM - noon for the breakfast crowd, so I can never find the time to go anymore. If it's ever convenient, check it out so I can live vicariously through you!! And if you see a girl named Miriam, that would be my roommate. Small world @_@
