Supernatural100 Drabble: Some Things Never Change
Title: Some Things Never Change
Author: HalfshellVenus
Category: Sam/Dean (Slash, drabble)
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Desolation has no power against passion.
Author’s Note: For the Supernatural100 "Motels" Challenge.

x-x-x-x-x

There was a depressing sameness to the places they stayed. Weed-ridden parking lots. Murky motel rooms with stained carpets, banged-up furniture, and a faint mildew smell in the bathrooms.

The bedspreads were all variations on tacky, each different patterns but always ugly and reeking of stale cigarette smoke.

It was habit now, pushing them aside as they moved onto the bed in heated passion. The slam of the door would still be ringing in Sam’s ears as he found himself on his back, Dean astride him, already returning to the rhythm they had barely left off from the last time.

Bloody hell, woman! You begin with these just amazing descriptions and then WHAM! That certainly jump-started my day (which will be spent cooking...sigh...but now I'll be having all sorts of dirty thoughts while kneading the dough). Two thumbs way way up! =D

all sorts of dirty thoughts while kneading the dough).

Mmmmmm. That sounds like a great combination of activities.

I thought you were visiting family over Thanksgiving. Is it communal cooking?

Nope. Mom doesn't like to cook and after one year of eating out, I decided to take over and have been doing all the work ever since. Except the turkey--no way I'm getting up early enough to deal with that thing. ;)

Gah. Awesome contrast of descriptions! Wow. Great job :)

Thanks! All that yuckiness swept away when more important things need their attention....

returning to the rhythm they had barely left off from the last time.

Ohhh, I really like that one.

My one and only slash drabble so far. *sniff* But Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Well, 100 words *is* fairly constricting.

Yeah, and some of my porn slash is getting fairly long. I've got 2 in the Q still, one at almost 1400 words, one at 1040.

What could I say in 100 words? "Yeah. Like that. Yessssssssss. Oh, Sammy."

Mm. I love how much emotion is in these 100 words. And it evokes such semi-depressing –– but also beautiful –– imagery of shitty motel rooms. And The slam of the door would still be ringing in Sam’s ears as he found himself on his back, Dean astride him, already returning to the rhythm they had barely left off from the last time. just made me go ooh.

just made me go ooh.

:D It's unexpected hotness in such a gritty atmosphere. But love conquers all!

Have you taken a look at my LJ homepage? It has everything all separated into fandoms & Slash/Gen. I imagine you're there already, since you found this one at the bottom of the SN slash (yes, the SNs are basically oldest at the bottom).

This creepazoid icon you have here... I've noticed it before. This guy looks like he could be on Buffy (or that "Millenium" Demons-in-a-Donut-Shop episode) without requiring makeup. His face just looks... evol.

I've been getting links from your LJ homepage, yes. :) And the icon is Peter Stormare as Satan in Constantine. :D

You're kidding! He looks so much older and scarier here. Well, we're not getting any blue-eyed distraction with the coloring. Heck, maybe he's creepier-looking than I realized :-0

Dean astride him, already returning to the rhythm they had barely left off from the last time.

This is just another one of the lovely images you create. I can totally see it. A rhythm of their own. They fight, move, and love in the same sync.

This drabble well its all really rather perfect.

Thank you so much!

They are each other in this one, competing and balanced and together all at once.

This drabble well its all really rather perfect.
Ooh, wonderful! It is very hard to write a perfect drabble, to set the scene and make it complete and make the language feel natural. But I enjoy the challenge, clearly :)
