F-List Plea
I'm hoping someone on my f-list has the kind of detailed mind that remembers this...

In what city/state is Bobby's junkyard? This is for the SPN dark/non-con/angst piece I've been struggling to finish for about three weeks now.

UPDATE: My f-list IS the awesome (and a great drive-by as well!)
Conclusion: ELaClown is in Wisconsin, and "Salvation" was set in Iowa. So though we don't have a canon location on Bobby's junkyard, it is likely in a midwestern area (because that soccer-mom van was crap, and could only make it so far).

Thank you, everyone! Angst to follow... :D

Destina just posted a story last week that exactly fits that description but I can't remember if she said which state Bobby's junkyard was in. I will go scan through it and see.

! I hope not too close to my story!

I started this thing for 60_minute_fics about 2-3 weeks ago, and not only did I get nowhere near an ending in 60-minutes (first time ever) but it's been like pulling teeth to get the rest of the story to come out!

Thanks for your help, Pat. :D

I have no idea if this is right (so obviously not all that helpful), but I seem to remember Washington State.

I thought it was one of the Dakotas

probably wrong

I doesn't appear that the show has actually said, but looks like it's a Midwestern-ish location).

Thanks! :)

Well they were there in the clown ep, right? And that took place in Winconsin.

Although I guess they could've driven over state lines...

Yeah, that's not so common here. *is Canadian*

*Wisconsin

And it's funny cause I don't even watch SPN.

Oh, you gave up on SPN already? I know there was a brief flirtation last year (I read a fic you wrote for it).

Wisconsin for ELaClown is helpful-- it pins down a general region of the country. Thanks!

Oh, you gave up on SPN already?

Yeah for the most retarded reasons too.

I just wasn't interested before, but now I kinda hate it. Cause it seems like everyone who doesn't like Prison Break anymore loves Supernatural. Therefore Supernatural is the enemy of Prison Break. Therefore I am obligated to hate it.

Also, I think the Clown Town started with an M. If that helps narrow down anything...

Oh, now! *scolds*

Though SPN has held up better than PB in Season 2, I'll say that. (Kicks Paul Scheuring).

The state was good enough, just for the vicinity of the whole Bobby-ness.

Oddly enough, I didn't notice any of that part of the episode. I was strangely distracted by Dean breaking Sam's heart, the soccer-Mom van (I beat Dean to the word "humiliating!" over that), and then... the clowns.

Not that I ever liked them, but the 2 minutes I saw of "Killer Clowns From Outer Space" was enough to do me in forever. Those were two really particularly bad moments. :0

Yeah? Well Dean has a fat head.

La-la-la-la *hands over ears*

Actually, alazysod posted some car conversation awhile back in which her dad declared that Dean was a blockhead, Sam was invisible, Dominic was just bald, and Wentworth wasn't good-looking because he seemed so gay. Something to that effect.

Summary: I don't care what the rest of the world thinks, NONE of those men are attractive.

When guys talk shit like that about Jensen, it always makes me think they find him too attractive. For the other guys, it _might_ be blindness. Though when Dominic has hair? Gotta be willful blindness. Guh.

There is no canon on the exact location of Bobby's place.
In Devil's Trap the boys travel from Salvation, Iowa to Bobby's place -"Singer's Autos" . After that they go to Jefferson City, Missouri.
In ELaC, they travel from Bobby's place to the Roadhouse which I think is in Wisconsin (at least the carnival is).
This, of course, is absolutely no assistance to you, other than you have free rein to make it up.
I have no idea if its relevant but Donald Rumsfeld (who Bobby's dog was named after) was born in Evanston, Illinois.

I'm going with Cody on that comment. Your icon is just dripping with evilSarcasm (of Gregory-House-worthy quantities, which is really saying something!)

You, randomly, are freakin' awesome for all of the detail here. ♥

Now if somebody will only read the damn story, now that it's up. :0

Bobby IS in fact a pretty cool guy, but the words in contrast with that picture are just the best thing EVER.
