So, I had surgery yesterday to remove the mass near my shoulder, and the doctor says it went well and everything came out easily. Recovering from the anaesthetia is never fun. The grogginess and dizziness! The nausea! The, uh, muscle-tremor jackhammer leg-thingy (seriously, that was weird). And the random itchiness all night long. Ugh-- that sure made it hard to sleep.

Feeling better today, taking the pain meds and trying to remember not to use my right arm (and not to reach for things, for crying out loud). I'll be home recuperating the rest of the week at least, and we'll see where the pain is by then.

But what a relief to have that over with. :D

I was told to take it easy for about a week, mainly regarding putting weight or resistance on that arm. It's already feeling _much_ better, which is good as I discovered the itchiness and restlessness at night were not the anaesthetic. Gah. Must everything be some kind of codeine derivative?

I have a more major surgery coming up in 5 weeks, and we are going to have to find some other painkiller method!
