Whew, what a relief. The surgeon cancelled our appointment, because the tumor is benign. I am SO relieved. I will get a consult appointment later about removing it, from a different surgeon who handles this type of condition. *breathes* Thank goodness.
It has been rainier than December the past few weeks. It's off-and-on, not really predictable more than a day at a time. Because of Christmas vacation and then rain early in the week when I came back to work, there was a gap of about a month between my last outside bike ride near the office and the one I took on Friday. Well! The construction has died down (yay!), and there was a surprise near my turnaround point: Shetland ponies! There are 2 or 3 of them (one might be a miniature horse?), and a similar-sized donkey. SO cute! There hasn't been much of anything in that field for years, except random rusting farm equipment. So much better than the angry dogs next door, who replaced some chickens and goats, and before that, actual human residents.
I hope they'll be there a while. Who doesn't need random ponies? :D
