Poem: if e. e. cummings

if e. e. cummings

if in these drifting thoughts(sleep-scattered
or day-dissembled)there is intent
to seek or say, i would(you
and i)find sweet purpose and
the strength of all strengths
to tap in keystrokes and soft
dream words the bluest skies
    greenest meadows
        richest earth
and all we know

we sing(now rise the chorus)the songs
and the dearest(loveliest)hardest(darkest)
shall flow forth to live among

   (now rise the chorus)

This is my official announcement of my entry into LJ Idol Season 10.

Splendid poem and announcement! :) Thrilled at the prospect of reading your Idol words again.

Thank you, Dan! It occurred to me that things like poetry (and weird punctuation and line breaks) probably don't translate well for the visually impaired, but I'm hoping it still seemed good.

Glad you're back in, too! Now we just have to make sure you stay in more than a couple of weeks-- I want to be reading more entries!

Yeah, for speech only users the punctuation and spacing might not be communicated, but I use a braille display, and so "usually" get feedback on those kinds of things. Not, you understand, that I always understand them, but that's a totally different issue. *grin*

Hahaha, you're echoing my own internal pep talks now. Stop that!
