Temperatures are climbing...
It felt like it was about 90 at the end of the day today, when I went to an outdoor event at my son's high school and just kept sweating and sweating--even in the shade. I hate that! I hope the heat backs off soon.

We finally watched the finale of Justified, which was satisifying. I'll miss the story of Raylan and Boyd, and the show's theme song. Winn Duffy and Loretta? Not so much.

The show had a great cast, right down to the minor roles. We recently saw Cousin Johnny playing a Russian Mafia member in The Equalizer, and Cousin Dewey is currenly hiding behind "smart" glasses on Battle Creek. I hope Boyd pops up in something soon, too.

I'm closing in on the end of that Jasper Fforde YA trilogy on the Kindle. I was reading bits of it at the dentist's office the other day, waiting for the anaesthetic to kick in, and the dentist asked me about Kindle's dictionary feature. Um... I have never used that. I don't think I've run across a word I needed to look up in years, unless it was foreign. Perhaps there are words I should be looking up, but I'm so used to abstracting their meaning from the context that I never do? Or maybe I should torture myself with heavier reading? \o?

Right now, I need to get to bed. Another fun-filled work day awaits! Yarghhhh...

mostly it was weird seeing jeremy davies play someone else. (he's always "dickie bennett" my head, never just "dickie". same for wynn duffy.) i bet he's hard to write, altho to be honest i think justified has such a specific kind of dialogue that writing any fic and getting it right would be hard.

aw, choo-choo. i wasn't sure how i felt about him, other than he seemed kind of dim, until he was talking to, uh, crap, i forget her name, but the girl he was supposed to shoot, who saw him kill the realtor. suddenly there was more to him and i liked him. i always kind of liked mikey, tho.

i was nervous constable bob would end up dead! and was so relieved that he seemed to survive. any time anyone on twitter retweets patton oswalt or mentions him for any reason, i always think "constable bob! ^_^ " with that exact face.

I'm glad he survived, too. I was worried!

My first exposure to Patton Oswalt actually was as "Leon," one of the escaped souls in "Reaper." He was highly memorable. :D

He also appeared in S6 (maybe also 7?) of Burn Notice.
