Rush job...
It's my daughter's birthday, and I have all-day training at working, so I'm spitting this out while I can.

This week's Idol story was crack, a celebration in itself. \o/

This weekend's at-home movie was 300, in which the battle of Thermopylae was apparently fought by hordes of Scots, other Brits, CGI, and foreshadowing. This... is... SPARTA!

And finished books include The Boy Who Shoots Crows (suckage!) and Sharp Objects (really hard to put down, though I was a little disappointed by the ending). I have two library books that I'm pretty sure are 3-week-only checkouts due on Saturday, one on Monty Python and the other the most recent No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency installment. Must hurry!

And now, I'm off. More later tonight. Maybe.

It was very nice, considering that it was also the first day of school for her (a first)!

I think it's harder on her parents, as she'll be going off to college next year at this same time. :(

First day back at school isn't the best way to spend a birthday but I'm glad it was still nice. :)

Oh dear! :( It's gonna be hard on you and HSH next year...your little girl will be all growed up. Or at least she'll think she is! ;)

She had a nice birthday, and enjoyed her weird cake- mint and chocolate, not pretty but tasty!
