Happy Birthday To Thelana
To the lovely woman who has encouraged many a beginning author (include me), I offer toasts, thanks and eventually a PB fic.

Many happy returns, thelana. I know you don't celebrate your birthday at all really, but this gives the rest of us an ideal opportunity to celebrate you.

You are lovely in spirit, word and deed. And you are one of my absolute favorite parts of this fandom, and the Internet as a whole. Simply meeting you has made wading into fanfic entirely worth it. :)

And I must say, having caught up with this stomach-turning PB 'cest-wank discussion, that you conducted yourself in an amazingly level-headed and lady-like manner with incredible grace under pressure. Clearly, some people are not able to carry on arguments in reasonable tones. Thank goodness, you are not one of those people.

Cake, candles, chocolate, and *Mwah* to you. And a naked Naveen Andrews with Lincoln/Michael on the side. Or combined. Whichever you prefer. :)

Hi Sweetie
Just posting to say 'hi' and join in on thelana appreciation.

Just spent a half hour reading that and my gosh now I understand why my flist was so upset the past 24 hours.

But yes, you wrote some truly beautiful and appropriate words about thelana that make me all warm and gooey for my flist. :huggles you all:

She so deserves it. Even if we love her more than she loves herself.

Of course, that's the beauty of humble people. And why others appreciate them so.

*hugs you back* It's been _forever_! Sometimes I wonder if you're still here! :0

Re: Hi Sweetie
Oh, I'm always here. Even when I'm at my busiest, I check my flist regularly. I may not comment, but I lurk. Gosh I miss you guys.

I can't wait for PB to come back. I want to write something, but without the show on every week I fear I wouldn't know what to do with the characters or what plot to tackle.

Re: Hi Sweetie
Halfshell's latest fic? Makes me feel like I want to write a ton of rambling meta on it. And the base concept of the relationship in there => mind goes spinning. Just like your shotgunning fic. Did just the same to me.

Gah, the plot stuff... I'm just going with my, what, THREE AU scenarios for just the two brothers post-escape? For fanfic writers, this show has almost too MUCH plot. Although... "24" is far worse. Who can write fanfic around that? Unless it's all schmoopy Jack/Audrey (rather read Jack/Tony, myself).

Are you in the pbreak_drabbles community? That might get some things flowing. :)

So, are you having hottie/smart professor withdrawals since this is summer now?

How did you like the first episode of PR? I have to say people's backgrounds so far have impressed me. I was disappointed that Jeffrey's (rocker dude) outfit was so fug. I actually liked the pictures in his portfolio. Everybody loved barbie dude's outfit, but I kinda cringed at the ribbon things in the back. Just on the verge of being too cutesy. I wonder if Keith, with his attitude, is going to be the new Santino, except more goodlooking and less whickety whack. I'm really digging Michael, who made the coffee filter dress => hottest guy on the show so far. I'm also digging Laura (rich chick who made the coat). I hope she stays cool rather than transforming into annoying.

Re: Hi Sweetie

You've got me pegged. Actually, the one I'm truly missing is my non-crush one. I fear when I actually leave for good. I want him to adopt me.

Re: PR

I love the cast this season. I was disappointed in Jeffrey's piece as well, though I think he will redeem himself later. I love his character (as entertainment, not a lunch date) and hope he stays till at least the half-way point. And I *dig* his tattoos around his throught. I somehow want to work that into a PB fic. Like, T-Bag or Abruzzi gets throat tattoos. Or perhaps Abruzzi tattoos T-Bag's throat. Slightly non-con. :muses:

I thought Keith was neo-Santino as well! His arrogance annoys me, but I think I will generally like his work.

Malan is a trip. I kinda wanna sucker punch him in the throat though.

I adore Laura, but have a secret fear that she will not have enough range. Also? Her model was *way* too young for her style. I realize she had no control over this, but still, I hope she gets to choose a different one. I liked the format of the first season, where they could steal and choose any model at the beginning of each ep.

Oh, I hope Michael makes it far. I love him because he's so different from anyone else they've every had. Yes, hot too. :D

My favorite is the barbie guy (Brad?). I agree about his cutesy outfit, but I think it was exceptionally well made. I mean, for being something completely not my style, I was in awe of its construction. Plus, I think he's just adorable. I bring my own pillow places too! Did you notice the quality of his Barbie dresses? I mean, think of how strong the design and cut must be on such a small figure with limited space for detail and embellishment. Yes, yes--Barbie can (and oft is) tacky, but his designs were all evening wear. Jus' sayin'.

I think his name is Robert, but that could be another one as well. But yeah, good point about the quality. It really looked very... glossy, especially impressive if you consider that this was the "rip apart your apartment" challenge and his dress didn't look like he had had any constraints. And it seems especially noteworthy because if you design mostly for barbie, who would have thought that that necessarily means that you can do such great creating/sewing for life sized as well? (then again, I read that he actually worked for plenty of other companies as well; it just seems since we tend to indentify him as barbie guy it just seems especially impressive)

Word on Jeffrey and Malan. Laura leaves me... curious. Like I can't figure her out yet. Still, curious.

It's odd that TWOP had so much praise for Ulli's dress and even after watching the episode twice, I couldn't remember what it looked like *hangs head in shame*.

And I *dig* his tattoos around his throught. I somehow want to work that into a PB fic. Like, T-Bag or Abruzzi gets throat tattoos. Or perhaps Abruzzi tattoos T-Bag's throat. Slightly non-con. :muses:

Yes, yes, yes on all accounts. Personally, I'm still hoping that one day somebody will write my bunny about Lincoln getting himself a huge ass Freedom/Phoenix tattoo and Michael and Lincoln strolling down the street together showing off their tattooed backs. Or more stories about how Lincoln got his fug tattooes because they amuse me.

Tattoes are love and tattoo fic is special love.

But yeah, Abruzzi getting a tattoo to cover up his scar? Hotness. I wonder what he would tattoo (or have tattoed) on T-Bag's throat though. Pre or post mortem? Or maybe as one of his "proof of trust" things? Like very "Theodore, we are best friends aren't we? Now, why don't you get this tattoo while I slinkingly and leeringly stand in the doorway and watch?".

God, I dislike tattoos insanely. But I am waaaaay in the minority nowadays.

I got a sudden vision of Abruzzi's tattoo choices though, for his neck:
1)A chain winding around his throat with a cross on the end of it. Or
2)A snake/serpent. With dangerous eyes.
