Brrrr...
Trying to gather some motivation here. o_O

It's Sacramento-cold, in the bitter 40s, which is like cold in other areas except that there is stuff to do outside (pruning roses! Putting away Xmas lights!) and it's not cold enough that you can rationalize skipping it. I'd forgotten how bad frozen toes feel...

Watched Friday's Fringe (did I miss an episode, I wonder? The kids always interrupt the 9pm shows, so it's hard to know). Very surprised at September's appearance in that episode (initially got stuck on him being vaguely familiar because he kind of looked like Ewan McGregor, and the kids had talked over part of the plot). Wow. And then the show managed to twist the pathos multiple times and bring on the sniffles, though in the main I still prefer Walter 1 and Olivia 1, for the complexity of their soulds and their pain. /vague non-spoilery musings.

I'm on the Twitter, for those of you I haven't already tweeted. HalfshellVenus over there, too. So far, the few celebs I follow tend to tweet and retweet too often, and I pick up 1-2 spammers a DAY. How so sucky, Twitter?

All right, back to the motivation attempts. Though I hear the sewing machine and other indoor chores calling me... ;)

Oh, I can see how timing could be a real bugger with garden cleanup. My lilac tree started budding out with the extended warm autumn we had, and crocuses are peeking up, maybe 1/4 inch. Silly plants.

Did you plant the roses, or did you inherit them with the house? I only have two, but they're ancient and nearly impossible to get rid of - they were here when we bought the house. I love roses - other people's roses - but not a fan of tending them in the garden.

The roses came with the house. They're beautiful, but we never would have planted the nearly 100 that were here when we first moved in. The former owner was semi-retired AND used to pay people to take care of those things.

We had 4 bushes and a rose tree at the prior house, and sometimes that seemed like a lot. ;)
