Customer parking only...
A few weeks ago, I saw a big-rig auto-transport truck, with this painted on the back of the cab: Customer parking only.

What does THAT mean? Is there a big problem with people sneaking out on their lunch hours or after dark, and trying to drive their cars on and off the transport ramps? How is that warning even necessary? \o?

In TV news, we're watching White Collar and Burn Notice on Hulu, which is to say... we're a couple of weeks behind. Will you all defriend me if I say that I feel no remorse over some of the recent events on Burn Notice? The more the show tries to make me feel sorry for that hated character, the more I find myself rolling my eyes. :0 Also, I'm oddly distracted by Fiona's eyebrows this season. Not of the good.

Here's hoping HSH and I get out for a movie date on Saturday (after last weekend's disaster). We want to see the Batman movie, but the showtimes are bad and it's just too long. Our second choice is Robot & Frank, which is Frank Langella and a robot. And weirdness. And how could I ever say no to that? His work in Junior and Dave speaks for itself. ;)

I used to like Burn Notice, but last season...meh. It jumped the shark, but I can't put my finger as to when it did. Plus for some reason Jeffery Donovan is suddenly driving me nuts. He never did before.

I never got into White Collar. I don't know why

I love Burn Notice, even now, though I wasn't so fond of the year when Jesse was embedded in the team. I like him better now, probably because his character is less resentful/serious, and it turns out that the actor has a LOT of talent in comedic delivery. Wow.

Michael's obsessions drive me nuts (moreso recently, it's true), but my favorite character has always been Sam anyway. And he's still going strong. ;)

I have been marathoning Burn Notice on Netflix (s1-s5) for the last several weeks and I'm really enjoying it. I have two episodes left and then I'm going to have go to on-line to watch s6. I told my friend last night that even though I like it, it's easy to see the "no way that would happen in real life" moments of the show when you marathon it like I'm doing. My biggest complaint is the whole bombing thing. No one can go around blowing Miami up so often without stirring up some serious manhunts. And I have other complaints but I try not to let them get in the way. I will say that my absolute favorite thing about the show is Michel's voice overs explaining all the spy tricks and mindset that it takes to do his job. Very, very cool :)

I've watched Batman twice with my girls and we were all entertained by the movie. It is long though, but Anne Hathaway kicks ass. I would have never thought of her for that role but she totally owns it.

That's certainly true-- they rarely go very far afield from Miami, too, so they tend to localize their damage and that makes it more noticeable.

That was one of the things that hooked me right from the beginning, especially because some of his "lessons" are so bizarre. The darker uses of duct tape and zip-strip, for instance, or (this season) beer-can RPG bombs. Wow.

My favorite character is Sam, which is often the case with me. I love all the main characters, but give me a "crank" (Fin Tutuola in L&O:SVU, or Walter Bishop in Fringe, or Mozzie in White Collar) and I am all over that.

I could see Anne Hathaway doing well in that role, and I hope we'll get a chance to see the movie soon. This weekend's start times look a little more promising, but if not... "Robot & Frank" it is. ;)
