Not Dead, and Other News
I've been lurking and writing offline, but little fic-posting (other than SPN and super-secret WIPs).

So first, I DID survive my Dad's 80th birthday, and all the flying to and from. He had a wonderful time, and so did everyone else.

Second... Happy Birthday to lissa_bear! Her birthday was yesterday, but since she's not here... I'm hoping that extra time will lead me to finish either of the two (eventually shiny) things that have potential to be good gifts for her.

Third... Cycle adventures are on the downswing. Though yesterday there was a dead skunk on the bikepath. Yes-- ON the bikepath. Not sure how that happened, but I'm betting whoever's responsible will be sorry for dayyyyyys to come. Also nearly hit a little fawn yesterday, but stopped in time. It scampered after its mother, skedaddle-skedaddle-splat! right in front of me before getting up and leaping off the path. It was so pathetic and cute, in its splat state. And the aftermath... oy. Let's just say I've got responsive adrenal glands. One-half second from "Aaaah!" to stopped, and then immediate flooding of adrenalin that feels like a fist in my heart. I choke on that stuff for a good 5 minutes afterward.

And fourth... will be in a separate post. ;) So there.

I saw a really new one back in the Spring, that must have been 1 1/2 feet tall (top of its head) at most. Little spindly legs, clueless little face. So cute. :)

Hah! You always knew I was "here" offline. But... many started but not finished fics (I hate that phase), so not a lot of posting right now... Except comments on other people's stuff (I've caught up on my f-list again).

Man, I LOVE that feeling. The quivering limbs, the feeling you could run a 4 minute mile or lift a car off of a trapped passenger. Eeee! As long as you survive whatever brought it on, that is! ;)

Also, yay shiny things!

Wow, seriously? I knew there had to be someone else out there who's felt it.

I don't like it much, partly because it's almost always when I can't physically process it. Like being nearly sideswiped while sitting in the car, or god-- the number of suicidal squirrels who dive under my tires is incredible. In that last case, I usually keep moving and it isn't so bad. But when I've stopped completely (mid-exercise, so my heart is pumping away) it's kind of overwhelming!

Although, car-lifting? Yes, yes.... I could see that. Hope I never have to, but still.

Also, yay shiny things!
Yay! And for both fandoms (something for everyone). :) Must.Finish. :0

Hi, Debbie. Boy, we've been missing you around here. :)

I AM working on the Lincoln "Five Things" Fic. I think you were the instigator of that one. Haven't started a Michael Father's Day one, though it's on my mind. Buried in incomplete fics! I hate that.

At least I wasn't the one that hit the skunk. I have no personal desire to check out those Old Wives' tales involving tomato products. :0

And the only *drama* the entire weekend remained on the stage.
Heh. I've known some people in the past who just live to attract and dwell in drama. Oy. They kind of make me tired.

I was the instigator for Five Things? Look forward to it.
I think so, but I could be wrong. It's "Five first things Lincoln does after getting out of prison."

Speaking of fic... anything in the works for our boys Sam & Dean?
Oh yes. Just a question of finishing any one of them.

Drabbles probably today.
Amnesia chapter fic in progress
Unmentionable other cliche/crackFic in progress
Full-length "Unbreakable" from the Stories I Never Wrote You meme in my journal (there's a rough draft over at 60_minute_fics.
Oregon fic for spn_50states challenge.

Must stop generating bunnies/writing sample scenes and finish these. I'm drowning under too many ideas for SPN. :0

HUH?! Am I missing something? Has this series already begun?
No, no. I wrote an "Amnesia" fic for the 60-minute-fics community, and though I liked it, it seemed to cry out to be a chapter-fic. And the more I work on it, the more it's looking like it might become my "Montana" chapterFic for the spn_50states. So that's why I haven't posted it in my journal-- I'm not doing a one-shot for it, and the longer fic isn't done.

Just went & read "Unbreakable"... Of all people *you* know how I feel about Dean. I need Dean fics, theories, expositions, phsycological profiles... heck I *need* to know what he ate for breakfast three Tuesday's ago. I'll never get enough of Dean Winchester.
Hee! You should read some of my Gen drabbles, I'm telling you. There is Dean angst aplenty in those. :0

But "Unbreakable" will be polished and posted up as a real story. After the M/L slash thing I'm working on, and a bigger dent in the chapterFic. Or interleaved in parallel. Honestly, I never know what my muse is up to. :0

Also, thanks for the heads-up on 60_minute_fics... you're so *there* for me in my SPN frenzy of moremoremore.
This is where a lot of ideas get unexpectedly churned out, and pretty soon I'm writing stories I didn't think I was going to write. The only story (of the 5 so far) that I had it in mind to do at some point was the Michael/Not!Lincoln Slash piece. The rest have all been happy surprises!

But? Keep the bunnies coming. Please.
Hee! It's the completion that bugs me. Proliferating ideas that do not complete-- and then new ones show up!-- kind of bug me. I'm always afraid that if I'm juggling too many things, a number of them may not ever get finished. Especially true in the SPN universe. Prison Break is not usually so stubborn for me. :0

Glad you're back! *waves*

Hope you had a great time! And I hope to have an offering within the week, if the muse will just get.moving. :0
