Original Fic Drabble: "Bedtime Stories" (G)
Bedtime Stories
Original Fiction Drabble
Rating: G
Summary: There once was a wolf…
Author's Note: For jeza_jezaro, who requested Bedtime Stories and original fiction.

There once was a wolf, or a woodsman (or both), in a deep, dark forest where anything might happen…

But those are daytime stories, those witches and lost little girls, better suited to waking hours than the impressionable edge of sleep.

Instead, come close and we'll explore tales of adventurous mice, of frogs with motorcars—or modern stories with dancing alligators or neighborly robot families.

It isn't that there are no wolves (animal or otherwise), or misfortunes vast enough to seem a curse. It is that you are still so beautifully innocent.

For now, the wonder of imagination is enough.

That was very nice! :) It's lovely! :)

And the differentiation between the stories made my brain stop and actually think about how different they should be :)

The ending was perfect! Thank you! ^.^

So glad you liked it! All of the other set of stories are actual books, though I've never read Wind in the Willows to the kids (the language is dense and outdated).

But you do want happier thoughts before bedtime, and not nightmare-forming ones. Which is what almost all of Grimm or Anderson fairytales will get you. :0

Thanks for the prompt!
