Pimpage and pondering...
I'm still recommending two RSS feeds I added for LJ. One is cheezcat_macros—the classic Captions-only LOLcats from icanhascheezburger.com. Saves f-list spam!

The other is the bluepueblo_tmbr, which has the most gorgeous photos. Some of them are really evocative. This one keeps me torn between, "Noooo—not the piano!" and "Wow, that inspires so many thoughts":

Others put me in a "Why am I not there right now?" frame of mind:

But one that showed up in the last few days really surprised me:

I don't know what's going on there, but between the "rope" and the collapsing deck on the one side, that picture looks more like "Beach house FAIL" than anything.

Still, if you want gorgeous, soothing pictures to enhance your day, this Tumblr feed is a great way to get there!

I really enjoy the tumblr feed and all its gorgeous pics. It's soothing after a long hard day at work. Thanks for reccing it!

Yay!

The "info" only shows me how many subscribers and not who they are, and I'd forgoteen you picked it up.

I love those pictures-- they're so peaceful, and often so stunning. All the little inviting details like passageways down to the sea just make me feel, "Ahhhhhh."

If I had the money and time, I'd vacation to every one of those places(who knew Croatia was so beautiful? Those are its waterfalls up above), but those pictures help me do it virtually. :)

Chances of getting insurance on that house? Zilch to zero, I'd say!! Lovely pics though!

Hope life is treating you good, sweetheart.
*hugs*

Exactly! It's not "on" the beach, it's ON the beach. IN the ocean. Every single brutal tide that comes along. :0

Lol! Driftwood in the making!

That house is just fabulous. I imagine an eccentric inventor lives there. I can totally picture the inside being crammed full of half finished experiments and rickety machines that carry things around the house.

There's a certain Steampunk vibe to the house, isn't there? Perhaps because it's so tall and is asymmetrical.

But the fact that it's in the friggen ocean and the ocean is winning is what REALLY says 'mad scientist.' Because I think someone less preoccupied would have noticed by now. :0

Oh wow, beautiful! But yeah, that last one looks like a great way to wake up in the ocean on a stormy night.

:D I think you might literally wake up "in" the ocean during a storm-- perhaps miles out to sea. :0

WHAT was the builder thinking?

That's exactly what I meant. LOL

Haha!

"Buzzuh? God, am I still drunk from last night?"

Ahah! Nice try but I won't suscribe to any kind of cat macro feeds ;) If I did, I would spent hours going through pics. *steps back cautiously*

I follow Blue Pueblo (did you mention it before? Because I think I started following a Tumblr after reading about it in one of yours entries and I wonder it was this one) but given how often I check my Tumblr... :-/

I did mention it before! The link above is an RSS feed over to LJ, since I don't have a Tumblr account and wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. ;)

Just a note, the cheezcat_macros feed has substantially fewer entries than the icanhascheezburger official feed. It's much more manageable. One of the reasons I made it was that I was so sick of "Vids! Ads! No, really-- Cheez at Night, you'll love it! Gifs! Ads! Cartoons! Two LOLCat Macros! More Vids!"

Isn't that site gorgeous?

I made the RSS feed of it for people like me who don't really Tumblr, and who like the surprise of having it show up on their f-list.

Those pictures... the urge to go back to Italy and Greece not only overwhelms me, but all the beautiful new places I never thought I needed to go!

I sent it to my friend, a photographer who called this week and was very discouraged about the economy and her career. It will help her reset her brain. xo

Lovely pics! I like especially the typewriter in the garden. And the house... fascinating! :))
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on May 8th, 2012 05:19 pm (UTC)
The typewriter in the garden is so evocative-- pretty table, old-fashioned typwriter, purple flowers and blue birds. It makes you want to be there, and makes you think that if you WERE there, you'd be inspired to write something at that typewriter!

I love that picture. :)
