It's all java_fiend's fault...

Clowns:

Fun!
1(2.9%)
Creepy
16(47.1%)
Evil
1(2.9%)
DEFINITELY evil
15(44.1%)
What now?
1(2.9%)

I don't even have clown-phobia, but Java's current evil-baby-clown icon is getting to me!

So, it's a beautiful Saturday day here, nice weather, big sewing pile waiting and an endless todo list for the yard. What's on my actual agenda, besides returning books at the library (and getting a new alarm clock that doesn't "click" and keep me awake at night)? Writing my Idol story, which is an Intersection again (just to make it doubly hard). Gah!

I did post the "extra" story from last week's Idol prompt, but nobody's read it. Try it out! At least it's short...

How is it nearly the end of April already? Seems like it took forever to finally escape March...

If Sammy says they're evil - then they're evil.

I agree. That clown chair really just proved it, didn't it? :0

Oh my god, why would you do that to me? I didn't see the clown until I submitted my answer and I nearly jumped out of my skin. That thing is ugly.

\o?

I keep trying to make it smaller, but the only way to do that is to upload the pic to my gallery, and LJ seems to be frozen on that. (I can't even remember the last time I uploaded a picture, so I wonder if that even works anymore!)

No clue. I've been away for so long that the last time I used a cut, I had to look up how to format it.

And see, I can't even properly italicize things anymore.

I saw that you'd posted your "extra" piece and I'm totally going to read it... as usual, I'm behind on my El Jay-ing of course. But I do plan on giving it a gander!!!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

I think I saw that guy in the clown images-- I remember the pointy teeth. :0

Really, half the Google images of clowns were evil, and of the ones that weren't, most were animated. I think that says it all!

And that baby clown is still up to no good. :0

That's Pennywise from Stephen King's, "IT". He's a fun guy. :-)

The baby clown just needs some love. He's a misunderstood soul is all!

I voted creepy. :) I like java's icon, lol.

Yay for being a pretty day there!

I have plans to read the story. I just managed to stress myself out trying to comment on Idol entries, reply to comments on my journal, and keep up with my friends list and comment on their entries, and replying to PMs and emails. I needed some time to myself.

Good luck with this week's entry! I've got get started on mine too - I have an awesome partner and I like our idea. :)

I like java's icon, lol.
But do you like it BECAUSE it's creepy? Because I can't see any other way to interpret it. :0

My entry is coming sloooowly (couldn't stay awake last night), so I think I should give into my Spring Fever and go run some errands for a bit. And probably buy plants that I will in no way get into a pot or into the ground by Monday. Because that's how I roll! \o?
medleymistymedleymisty on April 30th, 2012 10:34 pm (UTC)
Oh yes. I like creepy things. :)

So how did you do with the plants? Also I loved your entry! Already commented. Off to read the other story now. :)
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on May 1st, 2012 12:00 am (UTC)
The plants went much the same as last weekend, kind of for the same reason. I got involved in pruning/weeding, and then started to get overheated and run out of time before getting to the main task: digging holes for my tomato plants, and improving their stupid dirt by getting the rocks out. I need to remind myself that just because I bought a six-pack of cherry tomatoes doesn't mean I have to plant all six. Three would be good!

I'd love to dodge the dirt issue, but I've had year after year of "marble marvel" results instead of cherry-sized tomatoes, so it's time to face reality. Last year, I planted at least one Roma plant, and all my tomatoes were still in the pea to blueberry range. :0

I guess I am the lone holdout for fun.

I know a couple clowns, they are good people.

Mimes on the other hand, mimes are evil incarnate!
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphors: heh-hehhalfshellvenus on April 29th, 2012 11:41 pm (UTC)
You are-- I was wondering if anybody would actually pick "Fun!" as a choice, but knowing some would make a difference. Well, birthday part and circus clowns-- not the dark alley kind.

Mimes are plot to cause our brains to rot until they run out our noses. From boredom alone. ;)

Hooo... for my taste, your *coughs* "clown" above is DEFINITELY evol, my dear Mme Venus.
*nods**nods*
- He even reminds me of Tim Curry's "Pennywise" from Stephen King's novel "IT". O dear, it looks like this one is a pic of Curry's Pennywise...
*gasps*
...And after watching how the two "clowns" from e14 went after poor Sammeh, I started getting suspicious...
*nods firmly*

Good luck for all your plans, my dear friend and have a good start into the new week.
*huggles* ♥

How do you know these things? :0

I'm not a horror fan, I'll admit, so I just picked that clown at random because he was as creepy as you often suspect clowns are.

Years ago, I saw about 5 very unfortunate minutes of Killer Clowns From Outer Space, which told me everything I needed know about even earth-based clowns. o_O

Still working on my LJ Idol story, still poking it along. But I've gotten some yard work done, so that's good. :)
