And we're back!
We survived the weekend camping trip. Thanks to Lauren's bitching and moaning, I was utterly ambivalent about going (even while packing!) But it was worth it for the rest of us—gorgeous as always, even if we got less sleep than usual. My back kept me awake a lot, and the daily 6am bird explosion didn't help either. Both Christopher and I had earplugs in, and were woken by those stupid birds. Lauren, who sleeps like the dead, never heard them. Where is the justice?

Now that we're back, I'm scrambling to get stuff ready for the kids' birthdays. Lauren is going to Santa Cruz with a couple of friends instead of having a party, so that's less work for me. Christopher wants a Harry Potter cake, so I imagine his "Hagrid's Hut" LEGOs (an early birthday present) will be getting a workout. ;)

I need to get some writing done this week—I've got two stories that I'm poking along (both auction-fics), and at least one book review for Amazon VINEs. I'd like to burst forth with something unexpected instead, something that wants to finish. You know—just to remember what THAT was like. :0

Since we're waiting on Community, S2 to be available via Netflix, we've introduced the kids to Wonderfalls. Lauren is horrified by the main character, which is strong motivation for not ending up that way, herself. I suspect Christopher is more in danger of becoming a slacker than Lauren, though.

Randomly, there is a boy-velithya at my office. If he didn't have an American accent, I would seriously think there was something more than random coincidence at work. o_O

How is everyone? And did you post anything epic during July 15-18? That's the part of my f-list I was trying to catch up on when LJ died, and afterwards, I couldn't get to it. The entries were too "old" I guess. Phooey. :(

i have no idea what i was doing the week you were gone. altho sometimes i can't remember what i did last week, so. i'm currently sorting and throwing stuff out in preparation for moving.

i'm glad camping was fun, except for the lack of sleep. that part kind of sucks.

I hope the move goes well. The sorting and throwing out has its advantages-- keeps you from saving junk for years on end.

Unless you're my parents or my sister. They manage to move their junk from one house to the next, and they've eached moved a lot.

I usually lose a little sleep camping, but it's mostly the first night (anyplace new, really). Both nights is unusual. Oh for a back that would stop trying to mutiny on me again and again!

I figure this is as good as post as any to say "Hi again!"

I have to thank you again (I've probably thanked you any number of times already) for your fic, and for always being around whenever I get bit by the fic bug, whether it's to read or write. I'm quite a flake, so thanks for not being one :).

I can kinda blame my absence on graduating and getting a new job and moving across a country, but such excuses are just that.

I'll probably be wandering around JL trying to find Warehouse 13 fic, though I'll inevitably wander back into M/L randomly too.

So, yeah! Hi again!

So nice to hear from you again!

So you've graduated AND gotten a job-- big news any time, but especially in this economy. \o/

Now you won't have to move twice a year for in-school and at-internship (or whatever). That must be nice, for a change.

Where did you finally wind up? One of the coasts, or somewhere in the middle?

Hope to see you around again, and good luck with the job. :D
