My bike ride was near the office today. Someone let cattle into a field along my route about a month ago (they show up seasonally). This herd has a handful of horned cattle, which I don't understand at all. Seems like you'd want ALL horned or NONE horned. How are those Holsteins and other cattle supposed to protect themselves?
Last night's Glee made me cry. I didn't care much for the religious aspect, as I side with Kurt on those matters, but Kurt's relationship with his Dad is probably my favorite part of the show. The plot had me worried, to say the least... Much better music in this ep, for my tastes. The only song I didn't like was "Only The Good Die Young," because I've always hated it (no disrespect to Puck's performance). The song from Yentl is a little precious, conceptually, but the melody is gorgeous and Rachel's rendition was lovely. And Kurt's version of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was SO unexpected. I would never have thought of using that song the way the show did, taking a simple message and making still simpler and more innocent. The montage of young!Kurt and his father, with his father so bewildered but still trying (always trying) was what really got me. *sigh*
I was up late finishing my story for

Tonight's the L&O blowout again, isn't it? Great episode last week for SVU. The LA show hasn't grabbed me yet, but we'll see. Meanwhile, all the stuff I haven't seen yet (the shows in conflicting timeslots) keeps piling up on the DVR. Did anyone see last week's ep of The Mentalist? My DVR decided it hated the disk mid-recording, so I got nothing, and CBS doesn't have web showings of the entire episode. Is it worth the effort to Torrent it?
