All right, given that I still own the copy of "Nappy Edges" that I bought in college, I went for Shange. Hope it's really a novel and not non-fiction.
Randomly, actor Blair Underwood is apparently writing books. He's even feature on the cover of one. ASAIK, it's a series of sexy-times/romance thingies.
