I understand. I have had 4 people disappear recently, and I thought we were friends, but not a peep from them before they left. And folks sometimes ask me why I don't friend back anymore. (And yeah, I know you have made other posts in the past couple of days, and I am catching up to all - I should be all caught up by tomorrow.)

What saddens me most is the sense that they disappeared because they didn't feel loved enough. These are smart, funny, interesting women, and I know I won't be the only one missing them. :(

Sorry honey! I feel soooooo rude for not warning you wonderful people, but I just had to do this for a few days as the old laptop is in the shop and I came over all OMG!PRIVATE. One of these days I'll get my laptop back and normal service will be resumed.

Because that's the "Deleted journal" signal, `and that's hardly ever temporary.

I don't know, unfortunately. She'd been posting less and less, and seemed to be thinking more about RL things than fandom things, and maybe she felt kind of isolated.

A letter would be nice, to let her know we care and we miss her!

I know she made her goal weight months and months ago, and was understandably feeling great about that. :)

I'm still alive, don't worry! :)

I'm just no longer interested in fandom and when my laptop crashed and I lost everything on it I figured it was as good a time as any to make a clean break. I feel like a different person now than I was a few years ago and I wanted to distance myself from my old fanfiction.

My RL plans right now include travelling to Russia in September for a month and then I'm either teaching English there next year or moving to Ireland.

I'm sorry I made people worry! I guess I figured I had drifted so far away from fandom that no one would really notice if I left. But I really am very happy now and looking forward to the future so don't be concerned! :D

Traveling to Russia should be exciting. I hope you have a great time there, and that the future goes well (whether it's Russian or Ireland).
