Not for nothing, but...

(I just like to say that so I can feel all New York-y)

...any morning where the alarm goes off and your first thought is, "NNnnnnggh. What day is it?" will probably not go well. I've been running on fumes this week, and even 8 hours last night wasn't enough.

Remember me saying my taxes were finished? Hah! The day after I mailed off the state taxes, my SIL dropped off some late K-1 forms for my MIL's estate. Those are income forms, which means redoing taxes AGAIN (for the third time). With a some phone conversations and careful checking (my SIL used to be a CPA), I got the Federal taxes finished and HalfshellHusband dropped them in the mailbox at 8pm last night. But I now have to file an amended State return. I wish there were a "Waaaait!" button on the California Treasury website, where you could tell the state to dump your return and let you try again. But now that the first return is in the mail, I'm stuck amending it. D'OH!

Wednesday night we went to a presentation on Yosemite Memories for Christopher's class. It was much too long, and his teacher apparently never tunes his guitar. Ouch! However, the pictures were great and I've got one of the songs in my head still.

Yesterday, while I was in the office parking lot warming up for my bike ride, I saw a clump of brown blobs on the blacktop. I assumed they were seed pods from a tree. When I went past them, all the blobs popped up and flapped their wings and started peeping. Ducklings! I don't know where their mother was, but somebody had rescued them by the time I came back later.

I didn't much care for the first half of last night's SPN (no surprise there, though, right?), but I was happy about how it ended. And how like Zachariah! In other news, Bobby was once again awesome, and I still want to know why Castiel's "Angel-B-Gone" didn't work on himself.

I don't think I mentioned this, but Christopher has contact lenses now. How I've missed his sweet little face, and not getting poked by his glasses (because he's still very snuggly). ♥
