(In Hiding)
Nuts. The motel we're staying at doesn't have separate rooms, so I was unable to watch Supernatural tonight. I won't be able to see it until Sunday, at the earliest. :(

OMG,poor you.(*sending you what's left of her positive vibes*) ♥ ♥ ♥ On top of having a family holiday, where you'll be lucky if you get any time at all for yourself (I confess to being a bad mum for saying this out loud) , no chance of getting to watch Supernatural must be the pits. The kids are probably having the time of their lives. I've been trying to get the boat out and into the water , but most of the crew is down with the flu, so no Easter pleasure to be expected from this corner. Everybody seems to be keen on having an egg search and I'm just too tired to get all the equipment for painting together(*le sigh*)

Hee! I love that you know exactly what vacations with kids typically are like for mothers-- it's work-work-work, and your enjoyment comes from the kids having fun. But it's usually pretty tiring for the parents, and more hassle than the kids realize.

Do you dye Easter eggs (our stores sell cheapo kits for this), or actually paint them? Painting would definitely take more effort! I did get the kids to dye theirs before we left on Wednesday, because otherwise there would be nothing for them to find on Easter morning. It was oddly motivating. ;)

Well,we went for the real thing this year and painted them(as well as half of the kitchen).I must have forgotten how truly bizarre the eggs came out last year. The only thing is to hide them(and forget about them).Didn't mean to sound so deprecating but my MP3 player died on me so how will I survive the jogs I'm making myself do this weekend?
Ah yes, quite a bunch of us, isn't it?unhobbityhobbit on April 2nd, 2010 10:17 am (UTC)
I'm right with you there. I won't be able to see it until Monday. :c

Be strong!

Ouch! Do you get it via Torrent, or is it rebroadcast on delay?

I get it as a straight download. But I am not home this weekend and therefore cannot download anything.

Believe me when I say that it'll be worth the wait. :)

That's probably good news, since our opinions on the last couple of seasons have been similar.

It's funny, because of the lack of a door between rooms, we can't watch any of the grownup shows (I'll have to Torrent "The Mentalist," and watch "Fringe" via hulu). But on the other hand... ESPN Classic is awfully addicting, with all of those NCAA basketball playoffs they're running from past years. Thursday was Villanova vs. Georgetown Championship (with Patrick Ewing), today was an Elite Eight Michigan vs. Ohio State game (Chris Webber), and right now there's the 1992 Women's NCAA championship (Tennessee vs. U Conn). It's hard to get the kids to turn off the TV!

chris webber! that's an old game. i was a senior the year he was a freshman, and when he left umich after his sophomore year to go pro i was SO disappointed in him.

altho the game with patrick ewing (!!!) is a lot older.... neat!

:D I didn't realize you went to Michigan!

Webber was an awesome player, and he wound up playing here for the Kings (on the team that went to the NBA finals, no less). Class act as a player and a person, though it's always good to get the degree.

The Ewing game was _very_ early. SO many awesome games-- watched the last half of a Kentucky vs. Duke Eastern Regional Championship game from 1992 today, which was a cliffhanger to the end. Just incredible.

Actually, I found it as addictive as the kids did. MMMmmmmmmBasketball!

Tomorrow I'll be griping about not having cable, which I rarely do, but the NCAA Women's Final Four games are being broadcast on ESPN. No network feed? Rats!
