I could swear I came through here yesterday and everything looked fine. Now the LJ Navigation Bar has totally changed, offering different features (including, finally, the Inbox) and removing others (like HEEEEELP! and the FAQ and, oh yeah— a simple one-click to go to my Friends' List).

It's probably in LJ Announcements, but I can't figure out how to get there anymore.

Meanwhile, looks like they've outdated my browser, since the "Post" page is a bunch of blankness now with a list of "Other better ways to post! But not this one!"

*Sigh* It was a good reminder to download a newer version of Semagic, I guess. Not that I was planning to do that tonight...

Mine looks the same as always, but I have all the 'do not mess with my crap' options ticked on the.... whatayacallit. Layout thingy. *handwaves*

I thought I had those checked too, but it's still crap.

And I can't edit any posts anymore. They're "blank". :/

It's not like that on all computers though, just your older one? I'm using a ten year old Mac and Safari and so far they haven't completely de-supported it yet. *knocks wood* I do have to switch to Firefox to get at the purchasing areas and submenus off the Nav bar.

It's not the computer, it's Internet Explorer 6.x

That's what my office supports on our computers, so even the new one I tried last night has the same problem.

I'm going to have to start running a rogue browser (like half the other employees). :0

Ah, Exploder. That explains everything. :-)

Firefox is decent, well-developed. There's a couple weird things that are snobby about working with it, but they're rare.
