All The Whos Lay A-Snooze...
Gah, why am I so sleepy these days? I can't seem to wake up at all, and I start falling asleep in front of the TV at 9:30 every night. I think it's the time of year.

I also think tomorrow morning's 6:30am worldwide teleconference, and then my Wincon trip to the Denver timezone, aren't going to help much. :0

I thought I'd gotten a lot done this weekend, up until now. Boy, I wish I still had Mondays off! We went to Christopher's soccer game Saturday morning (a tie-- he scored his team's only goal, on an awesome assist from another boy). Then I went running (cracked the 9-minute mile, thanks to chillier temps), showered, took Lauren to the library and to Target, and watched Cal tank against USC. Last week's horrific loss against Oregon (MY alma mater) apparently was no fluke. :0

Sunday we took Tower Cafe french toast to my M-I-L and visited for awhile (she's still hanging in there, but very tired). Christopher was obnoxious all day and HSH was grumpy, and eventually that wore me down. I did a bunch of laundry and gathered stuff for Goodwill from the kids' rooms, and made more progress in "updating" Christopher's room from its "nursery" look (which he adored up until about 5 months ago, and I'm surprised he held out that long).

AFTER I was done with all that, and it was getting on toward 5pm, was when I discovered that Christopher has a packing list for his Yosemite trip in two weeks that he forgot to give us, and we're WAY behind on the prep. And I won't be home next weekend! Then a late-night post on my f-list about Denver temperatures warned me that I don't have a pair of jeans that fits (I did, but I regained 10 lbs and now I don't). Apparently I'm going to need those! Grrrr.

And the reason I know this is because we went from 100-degree temps as of Sunday 9/27 to 70-degrees and below, and yesterday was 65-ish. My house is now freezing, and long pants are suddenly imperative.

Always behind, I tell you. Still don't have a Wincon roommate, so it looks like I'll be on my own there. Better than 4 people in a room, though-- I'm a light sleeper, and that would be a disaster. :(

Yeah, but at least you drop off quick.

I actually prefer the slow decline, because then you get "acclimated."

I suddenly realized today that it IS early October, and this cooler weather wouldn't necessarily be unexpected except that we've been jumping back up to 100 again and again (a whole week of it, this last time). Though we HAVE had a lot of years of highs in the low 90s on my birthday (the 19th, so still a few weeks away).

It goes this way in the Spring, too, which is why you can get heat exhaustion on a 92-degree day when the previous day was 65.

Hi! I had never heard of WinCon until you mentioned it above. (I'm still relatively new around here). I live near Denver, and it's so frustrating that the registration deadline has passed! Anyway, if you built a little extra time into your trip, I'd love to get together.
Same goes for anyone else who may see this comment!

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry you missed the deadline! I've mentioned Wincon before, but never the location (which probably would have caught your attention).

You may be able to come to the hotel and hang out with some of the other fangirls at the bar from time-to-time, or go out to dinner. I'll ping the mods and see if there's any problem with that!

I may end up annoying my roomies to no end, since I wince when I move these days.

*face palms*

I hope they sleep like rocks, then. My daughter does, and she didn't get that from me! I really envy her. :0

Plus there's also the fact that I try to snuggle with anyone who I am in bed with at any given time...

I'm hoping that my muscles won't be so upset by this weekend. There's something about having 2.5 liters of crap pumped into your belly every week that upsets them.

That would definitely do me in. I have enough trouble with people moving around!

My younger sister, whom I had to share a bed with on every family vacation, is a nightmare. She DOES sleep like a rock, and is prone to moving recklessly around. I got up to go to the bathroom one night, and she'd moved across the bed diagonally. And once, she was standing up on the bed and talking and STILL not actually awake. :0

I hope that with the PICC line out, you'll feel better. HSH has never mentioned the muscles, but his always hurt due to a pre-existing condition. It's the nausea/headache/fatigue that really get him.

Hope this round goes easier on you.

better not bunk with me then, because i'm a giggler. lights out, everyone trying to fall asleep and i start to giggle...for no reason. as soon as i settle down, it gets quite, i have another giggle fit! yes, i'm 12! LOL

happened every time with my fangirl!friends on fan!trips to west covina during roswell's hayday! LOL

crazy weather in cali right now! over 100 degrees for 2 weeks, this week 75-85 degrees. yesterday the hubbs & i went for a ride to sequoia park and got snowed on! fall weather energizes me! months of summer heat just drain the life out of me...go figure.

Giggling!?! Do you do that when your husband's around, or just mainly with the other fangirls? It's like reverting to slumber-party behavior. :0

I'm in the Sacramento area of California, so the flip-flop from 100 down to 65 was NOT welcome. I'd like a little time in the 70s-80s first, partly because our old lath-and-plaster house keeps very cool downstairs, and it's tolerable in the 70s-80s, but in the 60s and below we have to turn the heater on. Which seems unfair when the air-conditioning was just on!
