Ack! Can't go, must sell!
*sigh* Yeah, I missed the memo on the whole Passport Required For Canada travel thing, and my passport expired ten years ago (right before I had my first child. Yes, those things are related). The turnaround time is just too long (unless I want to pay $350-$400 dollars to expedite), so the upshot is that I just can't go overall.

I'm sure you're all as sick of the drama as I am!

So once again, I've got to sell my Silver Ticket.

Here's the ebay listing: Silver Ticket

It's priced starting at $100, with free shipping. What a bargain! The bidding time is just one day, because I need to get the ticket off via Express Mail to the winner in time for the event.

The Silver Ticket package includes personal autographs with all of the major cast members, which is worth the price of the ticket alone!

ETA: Now I have to figure out what to wear to that wedding after all. That will fit. And doesn't have 1980's padded-armor shoulders. :0

Just to let you know, I pimped your eBay listing here. Also, that post might just have a picture of my Marthapants... ;)

Do you have more authorized locations than we do, also? For the West, we have about 5-6. That's IT- and you have to show up in person.

I think we do have to show up in person, but there are plenty of offices. I think that if you live in a remote area, you might have to drive a ways to get to one, but if you're in a populated area, you're fine. For example, my hometown, a city of about 200,000, has an office, and it serves three other towns nearby of about 100,000 people each, and of course, the smaller towns surrounding. However, 30 minutes would be the longest drive to get there from any of these places. And I'm sure that the other biggish cities have offices, too. If you're in Norther Ontario, you might have to drive a few hours to get to Sudbury or North Bay or Ottawa or Thunder Bay or Kenora, but that's how it is for everything when you live in a remote area.

When is the tide going to turn?

I'm crossing my fingers for 'right the fuck now'.

At least the birthday cake is done with (no more birthdays until mine, in October!)

This saddens me. No one should have to rue birthday cake! But I understand. Be kind to yourself, though, and remember that 10 or 20 pounds more than what the books say isn't a terrible health risk. Also, as women get older, it's better for them to have a bit more weight on them; it helps prevent osteoporosis.

Anyway, I hope that you get some fun time and relaxation soon. :)

Getting a passport renewal via the slow path is simpler (there are places all over town to visit), but the rush thing is practically impossible.

I was thinking about Marthapants just the other day, and how that name never fails to crack me up! It sounds vaguely like an unusual kind of insult. :D
