Happy Birthday, tyrical and jeza_jezaro!
I hope both of you ladies are having wonderful birthdays, and that the year ahead is good to you.

It's nice to see you back here, tyrical-- I hope the craziness of work abates enough that we'll see you more often.

If either of you ladies would like a birthday drabble, please leave me some prompts and genre in the comments!

Now I'm off to seal my fate and sign up for yuletide. *is nervous* Signups close tomorrow, folks! Checkout yuletide_admin for FAQs, and the signup post is here.

I'm truly mystified at people wanting fics for so many of the Disney movies (why?), children's books, comics like Calvin And Hobbes, classic literature (I'd be more afraid of screwing it up!), video games (??), LOLcats (?!? How?), Care Bears (why?), and the mabinogion (made-up myths? Background for existing myths? Expansion of myths?) :0

I'm just hoping I don't wind up flailing over what I get assigned to write!

And knowing my luck with this kind of thing, the chances of someone writing a story for me that I like is probably pretty slim. But there'll be some written that I'll enjoy overall, definitely!

I wouldn't worry too much, I've found the overall quality of writing for Yuletide is pretty high, which is doubly impressive considering how little all of these fandoms are written for and that most of them are only being written by each person for the first time. Plus, the writing part is often more fun than seeing what you get (although it's definitely nice to be able to ask for stories that I would never otherwise see written), and it's a nice challenge even if you're not sure about what you may have to write.

The stories I've stumbled across in some of my minor fandoms that were written for the challenge were really good, so I know good things will come of it.

Let's hope I wasn't insane in picking some of the things I did. I tried to stay away from fandoms where I felt I could write them, but perhaps not 1000+ words worth! (Brazil, Bladerunner, a few others).

I'm just trying to figure out how you make that into a story.

With a 1000-word minimum. :0
