Who Overloaded My Thursday Nights?
So, I guess we all know what show's on tonight. \o/

In the spirit of that, I direct you to this gorgeous manip/artwork by digitalwave, which is PG-13 and S4-centric and Gen, and is all kinds of distracting: Blaze of Glory Please give the artist some love! And perhaps write a story around that picture. :)

Life On Mars premieres tonight, and I'll be watching (even though it will NOT be mostly about Harvey Keitel). But I'm disappointed to discover that The Eleventh Hour with Rufus Sewell, which I've been awaiting since early summer, is on opposite Supernatural. *cries* I don't have Tivo, and my one reliable DVR will be recording SPN as I watch it (don't judge me!). I don't want to Torrent, though, if I can help it-- I'm worried about sneaky viruses and such. I foresee the use of the dreaded backup VCR, whose tapes are hated by the primary DVR/VCR machine. :(

On a totally unrelated topic... has anyone tried the "extended cycle" birth control pill yet? Assuming I'm not in a risky age category, I'm becoming more interested in that depending on how well it works. Namely, I am sick to death of having 1.5-2 weeks of every 4 spent being absolutely ravenous, especially when I've been trying to lose weight ever since child #2! However, I don't want a really prolonged hormonal cycle where those 1.5-2 weeks might potentially become a solid month. Anyone have personal experience with this medication?

:D I'm lucky I don't watch any of your extras. I used to watch Smallville, but after S4 even the prettiness of Tom Welling wasn't enough. :(

I did do some research on the "extended cycle pill," and regarding PMS-ish stuff, one of the most desirable uses of it is for women who have PMS-related migraines/PCOS and other hormonally-triggered problems. So it appears that the PMS is only as frequent as the cycle, which would be excellent new! Now, how my body knows that it's 2.5 weeks into the 4 for the current medication is another question, though. Let's hope it adjusts.

Typing long LJ replies on my phone is really terrible. Oh, and the whole not-having-internet is even worse.
I saw that post, and thought: "That sucks beyond belief!" It's hard to give up the Internet once you have it, and phone-texting replies has got to be awful.

Better now?

well, it's an iPhone, so no texting replies. I still have no Internet until I get back from my trip. Should be next Monday. Then I get to post all of the fic I wrote while I was gone!
