Who Overloaded My Thursday Nights?
So, I guess we all know what show's on tonight. \o/

In the spirit of that, I direct you to this gorgeous manip/artwork by digitalwave, which is PG-13 and S4-centric and Gen, and is all kinds of distracting: Blaze of Glory Please give the artist some love! And perhaps write a story around that picture. :)

Life On Mars premieres tonight, and I'll be watching (even though it will NOT be mostly about Harvey Keitel). But I'm disappointed to discover that The Eleventh Hour with Rufus Sewell, which I've been awaiting since early summer, is on opposite Supernatural. *cries* I don't have Tivo, and my one reliable DVR will be recording SPN as I watch it (don't judge me!). I don't want to Torrent, though, if I can help it-- I'm worried about sneaky viruses and such. I foresee the use of the dreaded backup VCR, whose tapes are hated by the primary DVR/VCR machine. :(

On a totally unrelated topic... has anyone tried the "extended cycle" birth control pill yet? Assuming I'm not in a risky age category, I'm becoming more interested in that depending on how well it works. Namely, I am sick to death of having 1.5-2 weeks of every 4 spent being absolutely ravenous, especially when I've been trying to lose weight ever since child #2! However, I don't want a really prolonged hormonal cycle where those 1.5-2 weeks might potentially become a solid month. Anyone have personal experience with this medication?

I don't watch CSI (too much graphic gore), but in my timezone it's on at 8pm (which is why "The Eleventh Hour" is on at 9pm!)

Fortunately, I've never liked Gray's Anatomy, though this same Thursday night SPN conflict used to keep me from watching/taping "Scrubs," which I actually like!

I'm torn on Life on Mars, I kinda wanna watch it but I feel like I'm being unfaithful if I like the Americanized version.
I can understand that. ;)

It seems as if American television these days is 15% stuff we stole from the U.K./Australia, 10% re-hash of shows we've already done ("Knightrider," "Bionic Woman," "90210") and 15-25% Reality/Fake-News/etc. (depending on the time of year). We have a few good things to call our own, but darned if we don't seem to be short on ideas overall. :0
