Hump Day takes on new meaning. :0
So, I stayed up far too late last night reading Phelps/Lochte RPS. I always think it'll just be a fic or two, and then pretty soon hours have gone by. Drat scarlett_o for hooking me on this pairing! I had only one RPS pairing before this, because RPS is usually the squick for me. Famous last words... :0

I also finished a story that's been sitting in the "incomplete" stages for about 17 months, so that part was good. Victory! \o/

Wanted to share a dream tidbit from vacation before I forget again. I was watching filming of a Supernatural episode, in which Sam was trying to get Dean over his issues with bed-sharing. The one bed in question was a rickety, oversized fold-down lounge chair (as they are in dreams, especially when filming's at the beach).

Sam nagged Dean to stop being an idiot and get into bed, and Dean's reason for not wanting to do it cracked me up, though I know he has no experience of this (and I'm pretty sure I don't either). He said, It's like Thanksgiving at Grandma's house with all the kids bedded down all over the place, crammed under the dining room table!

So, he did get into bed after that (and it did not collapse). Then the Catholic church took over the beach, staging some sort of horrifying massacre scene from some Saint's Day or other.

In other news, the cats have been clingy since we got back from vacation (that's expected). Last week, I had a little furry tabby-cat shadow following me from one room to another, and life was, let us say... very snorty. At least she has a decent purr. ;)

Those swimmer boys are soooo my happy place!

You enabler! I've seen your picspam links!

The porn just seems to write itself for those two. Another great Yin/Yang couple where the differences create balance instead of friction.

Do you mind if I ask for some Phelps/Lochte links? That sounds so hot!
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on August 28th, 2008 12:21 am (UTC)
It IS hot!

There's an olympic_slash comm, and if you click on the link marked "pairing: lochte/phelps" it'll filter them for you.

Almost ALL of them are good-- some schmoopy, some hot, some with angst. There aren't so many that they're overwhelming. Though I must say that dancinbutterfly and hackthis have a special feel for this pairing. :D

Thank you! I'll check them out.

LOL!! love the dream. When we were little and at my grandmom's, the 4 of us cousins would be put to sleep in a double bed, lined up *across* the bed, instead of the normal way. We were all short enough that we fit.

I remember, from the days before we knew about seatbelts and why they were good, sleeping in the floorwell in the backseat! I was pretty small then.

It's funny, I'm pretty sure I've never been packet in under the dining room table in an overcrowded house, but while I was out biking the thought came to me of, "You know, if you hung sheets over the table to make it a FORT under there, that'd be awesome!"

So perhaps there's a memory lurking somewhere that I don't quite remember!

Oh, we made forts with sheets over the table or draped between the twin beds a lot. And before seat belts, I can remember climbing over the seat to sit with my parents in the front seat so my brother could stretch out across the back and sleep. While the car was going down the road ;)

While the car was going down the road ;)

Oh yes. I cringe to think of it now, but I have a vague memory of my sister possibly being put down as a baby to sleep on the flat spot under the rear window. As a free-roaming projectile, in the event of a sudden stop, which people just didn't think about back then. *is horrified*

OMG, I love Phelps/Lochte RPF too! I started reading fanfic with Prison Break and now I have tumbled into this. I must say that since you were one of the first slash writers I ever read (and loved), I blame you mightily for this descent into perversion.

Hee! Sorry for being such a terrible influence!

Aren't they addictive, though? There's something about how obviously happy they make each other (especially since Michael seems to be a Very.Serious.Person a lot of the time).

It's contagious!

*cackles evilly* Welcome to special, special hell. *g*

It might possibly be more evil than my J2 special hell, because at least Jensen/Jared are long-standing celebrities and more used to the idea of the thing. -ish. :0

I think that's entirely possible, but I've been going to special, special hell for a long time now and I've kind of gotten used to it. I think that's what happens when your first slash fandom is 'NSync. Besides, I'm going to hang on to anything that gets me to write every day again. *g*
