Here's a meme you've seen floating around, I'm sure. I was recently tagged by dove95 for it, so here we go:

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.

Well, I do actually have a book, which is rare— I have some CDs here at the desk, and a map of Oregon and Turbotax, but this is the only book. If I were at the office, you might be getting C-code or Kornshell scripting instead. :0

On the other hand... what an unfortunate page choice #123 was! Sentence number two was the bulk of a paragraph, which meant that sentence number five was the last one on the page. I had to spill over to the next page to finish this:

"You'll stay right here, Olaf, until the others arrive and we decide what to do with you."

"I'm not Count Olaf," Olaf said, "but in the meantime, could I have a sip of this coconut cordial I heard mentioned?"

"No," Friday said, and turned her back on the villain to gaze wistfully at the cube of books.

As you might suspect, this is one of the Lemony Snicket books— the final one in, fact: "The End."

I tag none but those who wish to participate. Bonus points if you're somewhere inconvenient and have a meager supply of books nearby. :D
