Argggghhhh
An impromptu sleepover just fell on us tonight. One of my daughter's friends who never goes to bed, and agrees with everything you say but sometimes does what she wants anyway.

Kill.Me.Now. :0

*Suddenly has no interest in going home. At 6pm on Friday *

It's tempting, I have to admit.

Fortunately, they holed up upstairs and on the other side of the house for the most part. *whew*

My sympathies. Can you maybe put something in her soft drink to "help" her sleep? Nothing major, just one of the over the counter sleep aids?

Hee! They did go to bed around 10pm (Lauren's bedtime is 9pm at the latest, but her friend's easily happy to stay up past midnight).

I just don't like having company for hours on end, especially at the end of the work-week. :0

Oh, dear. My first impluse is also to suggest some form of sedation for the kiddie, but I guess that's not really an option. How about some sedation for yourself instead?

That's certainly an option!

They mostly stayed upstairs and across the house, which reduces the feeling of having someone "in your space" for such a long time.

At the end of the week, I'm just not up to that-- especially when I'm not prepared. :0

ACK! How did I miss this one. Perhaps my traumatized by oner to many sleepovers brain block it out.

You survived?

I've been in heaven as, last eight weeks with sugeries and ailing, I've been out of the teen sleepover rotation.

They'll be back soon but its been nice not to have 4 14 year olds underfoot and up all night every 4th week these last months.

I did survive, but what a terrible shock for late Friday. :0

Argh-- I would so totally hate this, I tell you.

Unless you're also getting your other child out of the house for the night so you can go out on a date, I just think it's more hassle than it's worth. :0

(not for the kids, you understand, but for the parents' sanity!)
