Stuff That's NOT Happening...
Which does not include spamming, apparently.

I'm not doing the Brutal Honesty Meme because I'm too thin-skinned for that kind of thing, and I also project that onto other people. ;)

So, for realz in general: If I write you fic for your birthday and you don't even acknowledge my birthday then, yes— that really hurts my feelings. And if you almost never respond to comments I leave on your journal... that hurts too.

From the other direction: Halfshell, you talk too much about RL randomness so plz stop! Also, you owe me comment-replies from the last millenium on your stories. And where's the porn?.

New topic: I went looking today (in a non-stalkerish way) for a user who used to be around the SPN fandom at the beginning. She had the most adorable userpics of herself (including kid pics), and I was hoping for some random happiness from them. But she's disappeared! Username was similar to magic_shell (somebody else has that now), and she was African-American. Anyone? Bueller?

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles-- I wish I'd liked this more. It was okay, but I kept losing focus after the first half-hour each week and so the plot's kind of vague. Perhaps this is why:
HalfshellHusband: Why is this kid Emo?
Me: They cast him because he's pretty. Prettier than the women, even.
HSH: But he's Emo!
Me: I can't help you there...

When that comes up multiple times during the show... it's kind of distracting, you know? Hope TWoP can help me out.

ETA: My distraction is the current Terminator actor Garret Dillahunt (also in "No Country For Old Men"), whose mouth so often forms the shape of an "M." It's bizarre! Half the time I don't even hear what he's saying. :0

I considered for a second to hand my name in, but then I realized that either I would get no comments or stuff I kinda sorta know already (and would probably be much better in telling myself from "Get a spellchecker!!!!" and "Learn how to shut up!!!" to "Stop with those endless boring meta attempts!!!!" and "You are kinda weird....").

Sarah Connor Chronicles isn't bad, but I'm not deeply in love either. At this point it's timepass nothing more. Though seeing Brian Austin Green again is pretty amusing. You gotta say, for a pretty dreadful teenage soap BH90210 didn't do that bad, Shannon D on Charmed, Luke petty on Jeremiah and Oz, now BAG on SCC....

*puts "Get used to reading my post/comment before hitting the POST COMMENT button" on the list of things to remember*

It's Luke Perry of course.

Oh, but I really like your metas! Even when it's not a fandom/topic I follow, they're still good writing and they're interesting to read!

Luke petty on Jeremiah and Oz,
I was so shocked to see Luke Perry on "Oz" (and looking damn good, too-- I never liked him before, and he always looked too old for the "teen" roles). Never watched 90210, though-- I have such a low tolerance for soaps in general, and teen soaps are even worse!

I thought Luke Perry was still pretty terrible as far as the acting is concerned on Oz and Jeremiah, but imo the fact that he picked those roles and I think even became a produce on Jeremiah in the later seasons suggests to me that the guy's gotta have brains.

Oh and there's also the guy who played Brandon and who after all made it into a movie with Ian McKellan and has made a sorta career of playing evil psycho killers on a variety of crime shows.

And before I create the wrong impression...
I was actually never a huge fan of BH90210, but it's sort of part of my youth, because it happened whether I wanted it or not. Technically there are some other sort of teen soaps that produced successful people like Party of Five (which I never watched, wasn't really around here).

It's just if I ever expected something to produce exactly one people who you would never see again it was cheese like BH90210.

Re: And before I create the wrong impression...
*koff-koff* ... doth protest too much. ;)

I was too caught up in homework to watch most of the shows of my "youth." Except that I had a slashtastic obsession with Starbuck and Apollo on the original Battlestar Galactica (Apollo was totally my type), and I utterly hated that my sister would watch that "Buck Rodgers" show. I wanted to drop-kick that talking robot into the next black hole. :0

Re: And before I create the wrong impression...
Okay, I might have had a crush on David Silver. And must have been the only person who actually sorta liked David&Donna.

But I was young! I was innocent! I didn't know any better!
