Thursday, but no new SPN
IF the show's on tonight in repeats, I'll tape the repeat. I lost a few episodes this season because I forgot that my shiny DVD-R machine defaults to copy over your stuff when there's a whole disc free. Boy is that ever a dumb feature. Hence, I lost a few of the early episodes this season.

French Vanilla Tea: I bought this on a whim because it sounded good, but... jury's still out. There's a fine line between delicious and excess, and this is leaning toward the latter. Someone at work french-vanillaed the office coffee on Tuesday, and that was not good. A little is fabulous! Full-strength is artificial-tasting and gross. The tea is on the borderline...

Dreamed about Reaper last night-- about discussing it, about watching a new episode of it. Also funny in dreams! But... less fabulous than my Sam/Dean and Jensen/Jared dreams, which are far too rare. Mmmmmm... J-squared. ♥

I'm behind on my spn_christmas stories, which just sit there and mock me. Also haven't wrapped any Santa gifts (they need special paper and have to remain hidden until Xmas Eve). The next few days are going to be a madhouse.

So, why not make it worse! First five people get a 100-word drabble of their choosing, so long as it's a fandom I can write it. :D *waits* *but is waiting at the gym, so back later*

ETA: Office carolling! And pretty darn good singing, too.

*pouts*

You don't watch SGA, do you?
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on December 20th, 2007 09:29 pm (UTC)
Sadly, I don't. We don't even have cable. :0

I watch House, Bones (not very attentively), Pushing Daisies, L&O SVU, SPN (because I'm sure you did not know that :D), and 24 (though that one is hard). Used to watch Buffy & Angel, but it's been ages.

Any hope there?

Angel.

Because early Angel was the good Angel.

It's ready. Hope you like it! :)

I totally ignored your icon, and just went with any of your loves. Resulting in this. :D

Whaaaaaa! Damn you too subtle hints!
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on December 21st, 2007 02:47 am (UTC)
It WAS too subtle-- it could have meant anything! You change icons at the drop of a hat. :D

But somebody else requested Michael and Lincoln in kid!Fic below, so you'll be part of the way there after I write it. ;)
The Good, The Bad and The Lana: smilie priyankathelana on December 21st, 2007 02:51 am (UTC)
Well you know I can't legally change that one for a while longer :D

And as always, anything you do is great :)

That's right! Because it became epic...

Boy, what a terrible thing it is when that happens. *kicks it for you* *tosses in a caramel apple in case that works better*
elanurelelanurel on December 20th, 2007 10:11 pm (UTC)
That's right! Because it became epic...

To be fair, part of that was my own fault - "I'll structure the story so that each section is one day." THAT was a stroke of brilliance on my part, given my natural tendency to blather. And the whole unidentified potentially scary weird stomach virus/bipolar explosion in the middle of it probably didn't help... ;-P

OTOH, it's a pretty decent case story and probably won't be as NC-17ish in the end as I had originally supposed since I've toned down the gorier bits.

And I shorter pieces. If I try. I've even done it, once or twice. It might take me five hours for each one but it is definitely possible...
elanurelelanurel on December 20th, 2007 10:13 pm (UTC)
GAH.

I need a beta for my comments. I'm not even including whole words...

*weeps* ;-P

I now return you to your regularly scheduled LJ...

Probably more at fault, really. Nothing like illness OR emotional upheaval to make it hard to focus. Heaven knows, my own problems with depression don't always make it easy to get moving on stuff. But the Christmas story got waylaid by all the Prison Break competitive stuff, and then by Kripke killing me with that episode! Thanks a lot, Kripke! :*

It might take me five hours for each one but it is definitely possible...
I truly see why the idea of writing drabbles scares you. Though it might be a good intellectual exercise. ;) So long as you don't heave the keyboard across the room. :D
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on December 20th, 2007 10:00 pm (UTC)
Oh, and-- are you requesting a drabble or just passing through? :D
elanurel: Amusedelanurel on December 20th, 2007 10:05 pm (UTC)
I was just passing through, hoping that you'd feel better still working on something related to December holiday. ;-P

The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphorshalfshellvenus on December 20th, 2007 10:09 pm (UTC)

Edit: Sorry, I had to get in there while I had the chance. So now... I'm assuming you'd like prompts?

Gosh, but Christmas slows me down! Yours is finally ready-- very quick once I could sit down and get it out. It's here-- hope you like it. :D

I theeenk I'm number five! (but there's heaps of comments and so it was a little hard to count)

I'd like pre-series Lincoln/Michael! Christmas, memory and making-do!! Please and thank you and don't worry about it if I'm actually number six or more, I'm just bad at math.

(PS. licorice tea is the BEST (the herbal kind, it's not a black tea flavour, but it's very good nonetheless)

You ARE five, so you squeaked in under the wire!

(PS. licorice tea is the BEST (the herbal kind, it's not a black tea flavour, but it's very good nonetheless)
I stumbled across this last Christmas, and bought some for my mother (she loves licorice). It was really pretty good!

The other secret someone at the office tipped me to is that Black Currant tea (at least, the Harry and David's kind) actually tastes very much like rich blackberries instead. I am a fiend for blackberry anything. :)

Yours is done, and I hope it's what you were looking for. Merry Christmas! :D
