When our kids were younger, they had far more interesting St. Patrick's Days than their friends. We upheld a tradition at our house that was invented for that day by my clever sister-in-law: a secret visit from a leprechaun.

Leprechauns are known for making mischief, and every March 17th the kids would wake up and wander through the house to discover exactly what our visitor had been up to. My husband and I prepared everything after the kids were fast asleep, a stealth operation that rivaled both Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, because at least those undertakings were quiet.

Bad Robot

Step right up...

We're finally finishing up S2 of The Riches (which we suspended when we dropped Netflix streaming awhile back). Does anyone besides us refer to Wayne's boss as "Crazy Hugh"? I love crazy Hugh! There's also Dahlia's cousin, whose name I had to look up on IMDB.com, because it's always drawled out in the exact middle of "Dell" and "Dale."

We watched Drive this weekend, which got way too graphic for me. But after all this time of thinking that Ryan Gosling was just "all-right-looking," the quieter and moodier version of him started to seem surprisingly sexy. I kind of hate myself for thinking that.

We also saw Shutter Island recently, which was much better than we expected and also twistier and more intriguing. Who knew? It looked so campy in the trailers...

All right, here's something I haven't done for a while: free drabble (of my known fandoms/pairings) for the first five requesters. If I haven't already written the fandom but know it, give it a try—I might be able to pull it off! :D
