What I Wrote In December

Yeah, you heard me. I'd do December and January together, except they're in different calendar years.

A very slow month, thanks to flailing over Xmas preparations and my yuletide story, which I'm adding to this month because it was written and posted in December, just not here. Good lord, I don't even need LJ-cuts for this month. :O

Supernatural Gen:
This Wasn't Even Fun The First Time Around (PG, Humor, Crack) - Five unwelcome times Castiel interrupted Dean. Of the many we all know exist. ;)
Down By The Sea (G) - Birthday drabble for killabeez, who wanted something where Sam was happy. :)

Supernatural Slash:
All Is Forgiven (PG-13) - S4 birthday drabble for thehighwaywoman. Sam burns like pure fire against Dean's skin...

Other:
Reaper Fandom: Dancing To The Devil's Tune (PG) - 5000 words of snarky epi-fic, featuring most of the Reaper cast: Just another exciting day of being the Devil's little bounty-hunting puppet...

What I Wrote In January

I got a lot of mileage out of the pbhiatus_fic "sex" challenge last month. Two Michael/Lincoln slash stories, one Michael/Sucre (a first!) and one Lincoln/Veronica.

I also started AND finished a longer Sam/Dean story within the same week (a miracle these days), and started a couple of things that aren't done yet (boo). However, the Sam Gen story did just get posted Sunday night, so it almost made it into January. I'll post it both months, since it hasn't been read much.

That Iron Man Tony/Rhodey story had better be done by next month. *glares at it*

Supernatural Gen:
The Soldier's Other Son (PG-13, Drama) - Five times Sam disagreed with John, and one time he finally didn't.
Sideways Psychology (PG, Humor, All-Dialogue) - Birthday drabble for rosie_spleen, featuring Dean and yet another conversational fishing expedition…
Not Fade Away (PG, Drabble, Drama) (4x12 "Criss Angel" codette): A future should be more than everything just ending.

Supernatural Slash:
Holding Up The Sky (Hard R) - Birthday present for scarlett_o, eponin10, and fiery_fox2, set mid-S4: Sam shouldn't know what Dean tastes like.
A Weapon Against The Darkness (PG-13, Drama, Romance) S4 birthday drabble for realpestilence: This love still fuels the fight, when all else is lost.

Prison Break Gen/Other:
Slipping Away (Lincoln/Veronica, Het, PG-13) (pre-Series): It was the last time that hurt instead…

Prison Break Slash:
By Different Rules (Michael/Sucre, PG-13) - (S1) It has nothing to do with Maricruz…
Need Like Burning (Michael/Lincoln, PG-13) - Pre-Series "Icicle Palace" interlude: There's never enough time when it's like this…
In Quiet Dissolution (Michael/Lincoln, PG) - (pre-Series, pre-Slash) Lincoln is home again…

Yay!

Down 10 pounds! \o/

On the flip side, today in particular (perhaps for hormonal reasons), I could eat the walls of my cubicle. :0

You know how people talk about having "so much energy" when they lose weight? Hah! I'm pretty tired right now. After having my thryoid medication lowered and thanks to not eating sugar in the evenings, I really feel the effects of my exercise (which is the same as always, i.e., strenuous). I dream of the day when I will actually witness the last 10 minutes of 24! Or be able to write after dark. Seriously, I'm only awake now on the night of my no-exercise day. :0

Watched the Season One Burn Notice finale. What a great opening season—so much fun. Netflix, how do you not have S2 available yet? *pouts*

We saw Slumdog Millionaire this weekend, and badboy_fangirl was right. I loved it. It was nothing like what I expected. The story-telling involves extensive flashbacks, so it feels less linear than it actually is. The main character, who grew up in a Mumbai slum with his older brother, has found and lost the same girl (also from the slums) many times over the years. He goes on the Indian "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" in hopes of her finding him again. It's a captivating story, and moves along quickly. Very worth seeing! Although you may find yourself, like me, occasionally wondering why the story seems to star Michael Phelps. ;)

This week: I have a present to finish (please cooperate, you stupid would-be-drabble), I hope to make headway on my Iron Man story, and dig into any one of my half-finished SPN Sam/Dean stories. :0

Huh?

Random haiku memage

Took four tries to get something that looked like more than random post-snippets (hell, I even recognized the snippets):

Haiku2 for halfshellvenus

And one more just for fun (about 15 more tries-- this generator sux, it's taking whole sentences from my LJ, often from the same paragraph)...

rubbing himself all
over the years that promise
was always the chance

I think "the years" should be screaming Date rape! about now, personally. :0
