"Watch the upholstery," Dad said automatically.

Dean had hardly moved, but he swore Dad could knee-jerk that phrase out in his sleep.

"Got to wax her up for winter, keep the salt off her finish." "Quarter tank—better stop." "Check the oil, it's been a week." Sometimes Dean thought Dad treated the car better than he did his kids.

Now it's just Dean and Sam in the car, searching for Dad and putting distance between Stanford and Sam's heartache.

"Stay off the finish," Dean says at a gas station.

Sam scowls and Dean flinches.

When did Dad's issues become his?

You've probably seen many of these talked about recently, with good reason.

And those of you who know that I'm not usually big on AUs will probably do the math and realize that the boatloads of them below means that these particular AUs really worked for me. So if you have some resistance to those yourself, these might be the AUs for you!

And there you have it— humor, schmoop, romance, moodiness and heat. Something for everyone. :)

Self-discipline is...

* Really wanting to bike outside, where it doesn't smell that smokey, but forcing yourself to look up the air quality (Unhealthy) and then bike in the garage anyway. :(

* Not replying with nitpicking to the corporate email which says that the decreased number of women enrolling in engineering "is concerning." I actually do think it is of concern, but perhaps those women are majoring in ENGLISH instead. *rolls eyes*

*Resisting the urge to spam your f-list with multiple posts a day. Oh, wait...
