Happy Birthday deadbeat_nymph!
Hope you're having a wonderful birthday, and that you did some celebrating this weekend to prepare for today. :)

I've really enjoyed getting to know you via LiveJournal, and the variety of discussions we've had on SO many topics, not including the Slash that we both love.

I delved back into the Michael/Lincoln waters to write a fic present for you here. Hope you like it! ♥

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! :D It's so kind of you and entirely unexpected, which makes it specialer. :D

I've really enjoyed getting to know you, too. Spiders and music and slash, oh my! But really, I've enjoyed the discussions we've had over the past few months. I hope that we get to participate in many more.

I must confess that when you friended me recently, I was delighted. I know your policy on friending, and since I'm not really part of The Other Fandom ;), I was surprised. Is it silly to tell you that I felt honoured? Well, if it is, then so be it. :)

Thank you again for the wishes. :)

Okay, I think I've used too many smileys in this comment, but screw it. It's my birthday and I'll be teenage girlish if I want to!

I'm slow to friend at times (too slow), but when I read your rant on "Slash that's secret from the author" I felt like an idiot for having missed it initially. Those kind of thinky-thoughts are just too good to pass up! So even as I'm fading out of the PB fandom, there are some people that are just interesting independent of that, and you definitely fit the bill!

Your birthday gives you license to do pretty much anything that won't get you arrested, including running off to an amusement park for the day or having a moviefest or eating naughty amounts of ice cream, or many other things you wouldn't normally do. Smileys are the least of it. ;)

Many happy returns! Do you consider yourself a Gemini or a Cancer? And also... today is Jared Padelecki's birthday as well (which is amusing, because I know you don't care)! I know his B.D. because I did a lame-o birthday auto-meme once that someone else on my f-list had found, and we both wound up with "eggplant" as our power color (my powers must be weak, because I hate that color) and some "shyness" personality traits that fit both of us but not Jared.

She was Nov. 19th, I'm Oct. 19th, and Jared is June 19th like you. And that quiz was so lame that the answers were based only on which day of the month you were born on. Which means that my husband, Dec. 19th, would get the same answers too. :D

Thank you. Really. I feel special now. And I hope to get to more thinky-thoughts soon. I have a few meta ideas that I'd like to post about soon.

Do you consider yourself a Gemini or a Cancer?

Definitely a Gemini. Cancer doesn't actually kick in until the 21st, but regardless I definitely fit the Gemini bill. I'm violently ambivalent. LOL. And LOL to sharing a birthday with Jared. I have a feeling he's a tad younger than me... Well, he looks younger.

Well, I'm already there on the ice cream front. ;) I think I might head down to the Old Port to look at architecture and be near water. These are two of my favourite things.

True Gemini, then!

And yeah, Jared turns 24 today, I think. So yes, very young given the way people in his age group are nowadays. ;)

That is SO my Achilles Heel. It's why we don't have it in the house-- because it doesn't stay in the house. *kicks lack of willpower*

Hope you do something special for yourself, and that greetings come to you from far and wide to help make the day even better. ♥

You know, should you ever feel like writing a story for me again (if you don't, that's okay, considering how unfannish I've been lately), feel free to write some M/L for old times sake for all the cool people like deadbeat_nymph from me :D

In more fun news, finished John Doe? Did you ever dare to peek into the mucho terrible Northshore?

Hee! That's sweet. :) But would you read it? Or possibly hate it-- I don't think the Prison Break/Bollywood crossover struck your fancy, and you asked for that one!

We're still working on John Doe. We've been watching "The Shield, Season 5" in big video-store chunks, but we're done with that now. So we hit an episode here and there of John Doe (up to 6 or 7 now), and moan about why the show didn't get a second season because it really hits the right note with both of us. And damn if Dominic wasn't just incredibly handsome in that show.

I haven't peeked at Northshore yet, but I will though it may have to be on my own time and not the time both my husband and I watch TV. Which there is quite the queue for already. :0 Want to know how long I've had the "Oz" and "QaF" DVDs out from Netflix unwatched? Possibly 2 months now. I go like blazes in the winter weather when I bicycle indoors, but when the weather dries up then blammo-- all my private DVD watching dries up with it.

Ahhhh ! Bad for tv, but still yay for good weather :D

John Doe was such a *nice* show. Like full of friendly and relatable people. I can see why it didn't survive. People probably thought it wasn't edgy enough. Seems like just plain out nice is very underrated in tv world today.

Well, you know me and my weird fanfiction celibacy thing... *stuffs fingers into ears*

And the point of the request was to torture you ;p If you ever do a crossover challenge again, I'll have to request Jack Bauer running into a certain sexy fugitive. Because with last seasons cliffhanger was too depressing. Plus: Fireworks!! :D
