Supernatural Gen Drabble: This Rusted Domain
Title: This Rusted Domain
Author: HalfshellVenus
Character: Bobby (Gen)
Rating: PG
Summary: For the 100_ghosts challenge on "Home Court Advantage."

x-x-x-x-x

Things were quiet for about two weeks after the boys left. Until the noises started coming, night after night.

Bunch of banging around in the dark, though the floodlights never showed anything. A dead shed-kitty one morning— probably a coyote, damnit, but he'd been too broken up to replace old Rumsfeld just yet.

Waiting along the south fence one night with his rifle, Bobby saw white mist coming out of a Buick he'd gotten in last week.

Jackass, he thought, heading inside to backtrace the VIN record on the Internet. You picked the wrong damned auto-yard to haunt this time…

Here's your sign
Poor ghost just didn't know how to read it. This was funny. I liked it.

Re: Here's your sign
:D Thank you!

With as many wrecked cars as Bobby gets, I figure at least once in awhile one of them's going to be haunted.

But not for long.... :0

Nice take on Bobby.

Thank you! I don't really write him at all, but the prompt just screamed out for someone who stays put and knows how to deal with just that kind of pesky Supernatural trouble. :D

That ghost is gonna get his ass kicked. Serves him right for killing Rumsfeld!
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphors: Sam & Dean Genhalfshellvenus on March 26th, 2007 04:40 am (UTC)
I think the demon might have killed Rumsfeld-- while stomping his way out of Meg (and trashing Bobby's house. Talk about insufficient apologies-- what do Sam and Dean say in a situation like that?)

But that ghost is toast, as I'm sure Dean just loves to say until Sam slugs him in the arm for being such a dork.

Bobby sure knows his stuff, though-- that ghost will not be re-enlisting in the auto-yard haunting business anytime soon. ;)

:D Bobby's so unflappable it just kills me. I love that about him:

"Whoooooo... Whoooooo..."
*Blam*
Well, time for Bonanza.

I heart Bobby and this would be a great first ep for the spinoff series he must have!

:D The man would definitely hire you as his agent!

"There's a certain compelling, rustic charm to the character-- great for demographics." :D

Isn't that hilarious? I don't know who made that one that missyjack has, but it cracks me up. "New-age sensitive hillbilly demonhunter indeed!" :0

And he IS, too. ;)

This is made of awesome! Would you consider posting it at bystanderfic?

Sure, love to! How do I never know about all the SPN comms? They must be growing-- we've gotten so many new peripheral characters this season. Last season it was, uh.... Missouri, basically.

There's been some branching out since then. ;)

It's a non-fandom specific com---basically for stories showcasing events from the viewpoint of a non-central character. Bobby, Missouri, Ellen, Jo, Ash, Pastor Jim---are all fair game! It's a quirk of mine; I'm into well-written secondary characters.

I saw that when I joined up. Hooray for cross-fandom comms!

I posted an Amulet POV over there too, but if you're really only interested in human POVs I can delete it easily enough. :)
