They'll hardly miss him when he's gone.

Well, shit!

If he ever finds out, how much he'd hurt Dean... well... I hope then he never will leave him again.

I really, really hope so! and we all know: hope dies last!!! *gg*

*hugs ya, sweetie*

Sometimes I just honestly wonder whether Sam ever weighed Dean in the equation of staying or going. Whether he did, and found that he had to anyway, or whether (*wibble*) it never even entered his mind. :(

Thank you so much, Debbie.

He really was so very much an outsider, and I wanted to turn that feeling a little into being not only that but him feeling extraneous for all of the things that seemed to matter to John and Dean.

Aww, Sammy! I love the way you've captured his isolation, his growing sense that he doesn't belong. Aww.

Thank you so much, Destina!

I wonder sometimes what it was like for him before-- those years when he wasn't expected to step up to the task of hunting, when that burden didn't belong to him. I think it's part of what inspires me to write the weeChester fic from time-to-time, the notion of rare flashes of innocence in an already-tainted world.

Oh Sammy boy!
It's so frustrating the false perception each of the Winchester has of the other: John, Dean, Sam. Just another collateral damage of their tragedy. Oh, boys!

Yes, that's it exactly.

What each of them thinks the others feel is gleaned from their actions, or the things they fail to say. But what they actually feel is the wordless language underneath, that all of them fail to hear. *wibbles*

There's such wonderful pain, isn't there, in the contrast between what Sam thinks is going on and what Dean and John are actually feeling. On the surface of it, we understand why he sees what he does, but at the same time we know that that's not quite what's happening, and that he's going to leave a lot of ache behind him when he goes. :(
