Randomness and Movie Meme
Still cleaning up the house from holidays and the Great Purge. All our Christmas decorations are still out, which will be put away this weekend (oh, joy). Except that I think there might be a mad dash on the tree tonight, because the Boy Scouts are probably doing pickup tomorrow. :0

It is frickin' freezing here right now, and windy. The outdoor bike ride potential does not look good, and I spent two days on the elliptical trainer at the gym while the bike was getting a tuneup. My last ride was Tuesday, and I went out very late and used the Ostrich method of telling myself that it wasn't THAT late and I wouldn't run out of daylight. Riiiiight. I spent the last part of the ride trying to speed back up out of the parkway before total darkness (thank you, full moon!) and worrying about deer jumping out in front of the bike. Deer and coyotes really like that time of day. In my right mind, I'd remember that skunks do too, and I'd make an effort to get out earlier.

Biscotti rant later. And now, I was tagged by lady_iz for this:

You may not know Picnic at Hanging Rock a 1975 Australian movie by Peter Weir. That's the one I'd love to get you to watch!

I may have seen Picnic At Hanging Rock. I've definitely seen "The Last Wave."

I think I like the original release of "Blade Runner" and not the director's cut-- the feel is different, and the director's cut loses focus to me. Maybe I should have put "Brazil" on my Fav's list-- there are at least three different endings for that one, and there's so much about it that I love.

Really, all post-apocalyptic movies fall into one of several categories: Blade Runner (acid rain, techno blackmarket), Brazil (fallen technology and endless beaurocracy), Mad Max (drought, decayed technology and dying resources), or now Waterworld (which I did not see, so...)

I love Rupert Everett in "My Best Friend's Wedding" (heck, I love him period. Mmmmm-mmm-mmm. Talk about guilty pleasures), but hate Julia Roberts in general. ;) My husband has a soft spot for "The Bodyguard" and Adam Baldwin in particular.

Still haven't seen The Blair Witch Project. Only the endless parodies. ;) :D
