Almost the weekend....
Last weekend we saw "The Holiday," and my ridiculous attraction to Jude Law resurfaced. Loved his character in the movie, not so much Cameron Diaz' (playing the "Meg Ryan" role, which is pretty much my problem with it right there). Fun overall, and Jude... Jude... what is it about you?

I've spent much of the week formatting and posting up stories at pbfic_exchange2. There's a lot of good stuff over there, and if you haven't visited yet, please do!

I'm still trying to catch up on my f-list stuff (from a week ago), and I have several things to read by plutogirl10, maygra, destina and poisontaster, among others. Plus catching up on my comments-- which is NOT helped by the fact of LJ not notifying me much of the time, OR my work PC crashing my browsers (and many other apps) regularly. *kicks it* *fantasizes that replacement PC with actual memory to spare will be done soon*

Meanwhile, check out my sitcoms!

PRISON BREAK cast:
My LiveJournal Sitcom
radio and footstool (LIFETIME, 3:00): halfshellvenus (Patrick Stewart) and lady_iz (Jean Claude van Damme) find a lost puppy at a restaurant. On the other side of town, merctales (Margaret Cho) lets lissa_bear (Robert Duvall) borrow a unicycle to impress a masseuse. Also, pamalax (Randy Travis) likes cars, but jewels667 (Ursula Andress) thinks they're disgusting. That same day, clex_monkie89 (John Malkovich) borrows particlesofgale (Noah Wyle)'s car to drive to the beach. Afterwards, mooyoo (William Shatner) unknowingly gets high before a meeting with thelana (Billy Bob Thornton). TV-MA.

SUPERNATURAL cast:
My LiveJournal Sitcom
Bringing Up halfshellvenus (LIFETIME, 3:00): halfshellvenus (Patrick Stewart) misinterprets an email from tightropegirl (Keanu Reeves) and tries to get into a fish market for free. Nearby, wenchpixie (Errol Flynn) overhears wendy (Kim Novak) talking about secular humanism. In the next town over, whosjeebus (Morgan Freeman) cleans kronette (Jessica Biel)'s apartment and ruins the television set. Afterwards, maygra (Will Rogers) convinces destina (Verne Troyer) to buy a shirt. Wacky results follow. At the same time, plutogirl10 (Clark Gable) sets dhvana (Patricia Richardson)'s pineapple on fire.

I did tweak the table code a little to force my PB friends and SPN friends onto their own "sitcom." Can't help the luck of some of the username translations. Apparently, I will ALWAYS be Patrick Stewart, much as anteka (whom I snagged this from) will always be Alan Rickman.

But some of you lucked out! Both kronette and sxeraven are Jessica Biel, tyrical is Denzel Washington, and aeroport_art is Gates McFadden (the Beverly Crusher actress). destina and jules1013 are both tied to Verne Troyer, though, and what is that all about?

Hope your weekend is great, everyone!

Ha! I'm always William Shatner. Awesome.

Gah, way too many PBFE fics to read. Starting to have trouble keeping up with them. Some pretty impressive stuff, too...

I know, you ARE always William Shatner! And in his recent "Denny Crane" incarnation and some of his movies/tv-shows/etc., he is pretty much cracking me up constantly. WHO KNEW comic genius lurked under all that ham? *boggles*

The PBFE, as always, kind of blows my mind. We get the occasional klinker sometimes, and I just can't stand the Mi/Sara stuff, but most of writers really outdo themselves and it just stuns me.

LOL! At least I got on the right show, tho. *g*

I too am behind on reading and comment replies, and so I feel your pain. I'm sort of counting on vacation to let me get caught up!

You even wound up on the right show initially-- I didn't have to move you manually. Verne Troyer, though-- why? WHY?

I have several from mini_wrimo month that I haven't gotten to, especially the story where everyone wanted a sequel, and then I started to write it but it won't finish! And since that was 3-4 weeks ago, I feel like an even bigger jerk. :( *pokes fic* *pokes muse* *dreams distracting dreams of chocolate. Mmmm~~~~*

;)

Oh, God.... why, Jean Claude... why? ;)

I just don't know! What's strange is that it's an LJ-specific quiz, and they do know that most of us are female, right? So why all the male stars?

The weird thing is that after the first try I made on the quiz (I did several), I became oddly comfortable with the idea of Patrick Stewart representing me. ;)
Izzie: Dom & Went - On Setlady_iz on December 15th, 2006 08:47 pm (UTC)
I know... quite sexist, isn't it!

I definitely wouldn't mind Patrick Stewart playing me. But, JC... goodness. Why is he even on the list of available ACTORS? It's a travesty! LOLOL!
The Good, The Bad and The Lanathelana on December 15th, 2006 09:07 pm (UTC)
Billy Bob! I can definitely live with that :D
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphors: Venushalfshellvenus on December 16th, 2006 12:24 am (UTC)
:D We've talked about him before (I know fiddleyoumust or mooyoo has), and he's just on the line between erg and hot! And I do not know why.

Have you seen "Bad Santa?" It's really very odd, but fun.

Also... PLEASE visit my Penguin Break crack!Pic!Spam. Even though you don't watch the show anymore, I think it'll give you a great laugh without any real spoilers. *begs* *speaks to you in rumbly Patrick Stewart voice*
mooyoomooyoo on December 16th, 2006 07:57 pm (UTC)
Gah, not me. Billy Bob Thornton is definitely erg to me.

I know, what has been up with LJ recently! I reckon they must have gliched the mail notification somehow when they updated thier LJ update pagey thingy. Ya know? No? *grins*

It's been most of this week, though I can't remember when they changed the Update user-interface. I remember the fast-flash of hatred, though. ;) I don't like the new UI, mainly because I don't like having to decide whether "Journal default" is a GOOD thing on comments notification (looks better than the other choices), and I hate warnings of "You cannot post at time BLAH because there is a previous post of BLAH--" and right there ON the post is a completely different time than the one in the message. Hit "retry" and ooh, looky-- it's gone. Stupid LJ.

Hey, are you going to read the "Mapping The Tides" fic? That's the one I was working on for-e-ver during mini_wrimo. The final length pretty much tells the story of why it did not remotely finish as easily as I expected. Oy.

Got some catching up to do on your stuff, too. :)
plutogirl10 on December 16th, 2006 10:11 am (UTC)
Um . . . I can't seem to find a link to 'Mapping the Tides'. Is it on your supernatural fiction page? Slash or gen?
The Coalition For Disturbing Metaphors: SN Lovershalfshellvenus on December 16th, 2006 05:34 pm (UTC)
*cough* Guess who's behind in updating the master pages?

It's still on the regular journal backlog. Quick link is here. Oh, and-- Wincest. :)

I think I just found yet another maintenance chore to do today... :0

Time to roll out my Patrick Stewart "Make it so" impression. :D
