Gacked from poisontaster and a bunch of other people, because I like the overall idea. Although as you’ll find, I dislike many of the bands.


In summary, the 80s were evil (apart from New Wave and Ska), and I really don’t like “pop” much (and Country, Rap and Disco not at all). And for some reason, picking a single favorite anything is usually really hard for me…

That was worth a read! And now I have Mirror in the Bathroom playing in my head.
I was told the appeal of the Dead was the scene in the parking lot during the show. If that helps. It didn't help me.

It's such a catchy little tune. Whereas the only "Madness" thing I remember is "It Must Be Love," and that's only because I love "The Tall Guy" to ridiculous distraction.

I've always figured that the appeal of The Dead really wasn't their music. However, not being into that whole scene... I can't pretend to find their music the least bit interesting.

I have a sister who is over the moon for Jackson Brown. And sadly, he's dull as dirt to me. It's as if his songs have no melody, no "oomph." And then you hear someone like Joan Baez or The Eagles singing them, and you think, "Hey...."
