Shark Cat
I fell over this on the Internet yesterday, and because it exists, I must share it with you!

Shark Cat riding a roomba! \o/

I'm astounded the cat stayed for as long as he did. I guess he liked the vibration :) I have shared with my twitterati. Today is full of cuteness!

Apparently, he is a regular roomba rider and enjoys it.

Which is how you will eventually get him to tolerate wearing a costume, if that's the price of a Roomba ride. :D

Another friend posted on facebook. I can't believe I watched it 'til the end. Rather remarkable, although the shark costume is worthy of a raised eyebrow.

I have watched it multiple times, and the shark costume really is one of the best things about it for me. It's so absurd. That and the way the cat just calmly watches the roomba heading for an obstacle and then leans away and holds on when the roomba bumps into something. :D

The best question is, at what point does someone look at their cat and think, "You know what we should do? Put him in a shark costume, and...."

Hahahaha!

If you look at some of the other videos on the woman's website, the dog and cat are in costume quite a bit.

So, I'm betting it started with the cat learning to ride the roomba and liking it... and then wearing a costume became the price for a ride on the roomba. ;)

I approve of this dark magic. :D

i love that the cat is just sitting there calmly riding the thing until it decides it has enough and climbs off. altho the best part really is the shark costume. what a patient kitty.

It's so used to the whole situation that it just leans away when a 'bump' is coming and keeps sitting there.

The shark costume is the best part, though-- it moves the absurdity up to 11!

I've seen that crazy thing so many times and it never really gets old. I would love to know how this even came about in the first place. Life's mysteries.

I suspect the choice of costume had something to do with Shark Week, but the woman there appears to have quite the managerie, and she puts costumes on the dog and cat quite a bit.

That cat really seems to like the roomba, which means that it can be bribed to wear the costume if it's smart enough. And it appears that it IS. :D

The things cats allow us to do. Or, really, the things they find themselves amused by in allowing us to do them. LOL

The lady's website indicates that the cat has been riding the Roomba for about 3 years (he seems to like it!)

So I can imagine how this goes:

Cat: Roomba? Roomba? Roomba?
Owner: *holds out costume*
Cat: All right fine, I'll wear the stupid thing. *Whirrrrrrr*

and then,

Owner: *holds out costume*
Cat: I get to ride the Roomba!

I need to learn to use our cat's smarts for good and not for evil, but not much luck so far!
