Animal Emo-ness!
Last voting day for this round of LJ Idol. My story is here, and not doing as well in the polls as I'd like (we're dropping the bottom 10 this week. Really, the cruelty never ends!)

My parents visited yesterday, which was really nice as we could not go up to Oregon to see them at Christmas. The only downside is that they never leave the house. I suggested some outings, but nope. Makes me SO stir crazy, and worse because I didn't get out Saturday either (cleaned the house for their visit, then biked in the garage instead of running, due to outrageous winds). It was sunny both days! Argh...

HalfshellHusband and I tried out the BBC series on Hamish Macbeth via Netflix, both because I've read the books and because we like Robert Carlyle (so young here!). As a result, we are now the last people on earth to find out about emo Highland cattle:

That last one is, Emo cow sees what you did thar, and does not approve!

So, how are my peeps on the East Coast? Any relief from the weather in sight?

Here in WNY, weather is fine - mostly green on the ground, but still some residual snow piles in the shady spots.

P.S. - voted, and it looks like only 4 are going, since some folks dropped out. Good luck!

I sure hope that's right-- we get the "10 people out!" threat every week, it seems.

So, the storm has passed for now where you are? I sure hope it's done. The multiple surges aren't helping anything!

I've gotta say, as much as I enjoyed it last year, I don't miss it at all this year; there's no way I could've written and read, with all I've got going on in my business. Just starting with a business coach, and had to write out my perfect day 5 years from now. Talk about creative writing!

And, we never actually got much of that last storm here. We ended up with about 8 inches, and it was gone within a week or so.

I've seen those cows in person, they are adorable! And shaped a lot like little buffalo :)

They were just wandering in through the village streets in the pilot episode of the show, and they're so short and stubby and silly-looking! It just makes them cuter.

The babies especially look like buffalo-- the whole shape of their heads is different then. :D

weather is cold but boring.

Boring is much better than, "Hey, the power's out again! And the stores are closed."

I'll be most of the East Coast would like to plagued by nothing more this year. :O
