Supernatural Gen Drabble: "Rain Delay" (Sam, Dean, PG)  
Title: Rain Delay

Summary: Some unscheduled downtime for the boys...
Author's Notes: Happy birthday to [info]wenchpixie, who wanted something adorable. I hope this fits the bill!
Also for [info]supernatural100, this is "Rain."

"I can't believe we're stuck here," Dean said.

The car never broke down, never—Dean made sure of it. But no sooner had they rolled into town than the engine died, and Dean couldn't fix it. They'd had to get a tow, then take a bus to the motel.

Now it was raining.

"Anything on TV?"

"Just soaps." Sam checked the coffee table. "And Monopoly. Dibs on the dog!"

Dean sat. "Just for that, I'm kicking your ass."

"Dream on. So—mandatory purchases and no loans?"

"Of course."

"Your roll."

"Reading Railroad!"

Suddenly, the forced downtime didn’t seem so bad.

That was my first thought too, though the car's kind of old-fashioned and funky. He might pick the ship or the cannon instead (nobody wants the shoe). :)

And this has the advantage of being a better distraction than ragging on each other's taste in TV shows (which apparently is fertile ground). :0
